I wanted to study in my state. I heard that BIT is one of the best hereafter the NITs and IIITs. Also, the placements and the faculty here is really good. It falls under CSVTU which takes an entrance exam for admission. The process is really long though but it's worth it.
I am an IT student. Faculty members are really good and also encourages students to take part in several competitions and projects. I didn't take up any other branch as I was also inclined towards the hardware side of techs.
Internships are really nice here. You will get a lot of chances for internships. They are very decent. I dont know about the core branches but most of the internships are tech-related lime website designing, app development etc.
Placements here is average. Approx 30 to 40% of students get placed every year. Maximum no. of students prepare for competitive exams like Gate etc. The average package here is 2 to 3 lac which for tech students. Core students prepare for Gate.
The cost of studying here is really low as compared to other colleges. You can get a degree(B.Tech) for just 3 lac (approx). Also, the hostel cost is really low. Talking about internships you will get a lot of chances. I recently got one from Awign and they were paying me 10000 per month but it's really rare to get a high priced one.
The infrastructure is really top class. The social life is really interesting. Seniors are really friendly. Several tech competitions also take place once a month. The annual fest is called where many students from different colleges also take part. It is really huge.
I don't live in the hostel but some of my friends told the atmosphere is really nice. The rooms are small but the social life is good. The interaction between juniors and seniors are always cheerful. I have eaten in mess and it is really good. The food is fresh and healthy.
You just have to clear an admission exam which is comparatively easy as compared to JEE. The exam is the same but there is no negative marking. If you have prepared for JEE then I don't think it will be tough for you to clear it. BTW the exam is called CGPET.
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement and the students also wait for the campus in which they wanted to be placed. Many high profile companies visited and many offers were also made to them. The highest package was 14 lac/annum and the average package was 4.5 Lac/annum. Around 60% of the students got placed in the campus placement. I planned to join civil services.
- Placements occur in the final year of college, various companies visit colleges and conduct interviews. - Few of the companies that visited the campus are TCS, IBM, Doubtnut, Oracle, Pie Infocomm, etc.,
My college is an NIT, institute of National importance, so it would benefit me in my career. I was to enroll in CS/IT stream and according to my JEE Mains rank(17723), this looked the best choice. The placement scenario in the college was also quite good compared to other colleges that I can get in this rank. I took help from Quora and other reviews to make my decision. The admission process was relatively easier because all IITs and NITs take admission through the same process.
There was only one examination JEE-Mains, which included Physics, Chemistry and Maths. There were 90 questions to be solved in 3 hours. Some questions were easy, some were medium and a few were tough. I went to Kota for its preparation.
In Bhilai we don't have any IIT and NIT in this case only this college provide students best education with best placement opportunities that is why I have choosen this college. I have searched in Google about this college and got much information about this college.
