I took the University examination which is specific to this course only. I cleared the test with good marks and got a place in the first waiting list. I chose this university over any other as it is a growing university having excellent and unique papers like MA in Social Design. It also offers students to take papers from various disciplines.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I am enrolled in is Masters in Business Administration, focuses on experiential learning. The pedagogy involves case studies, role plays, industrial visits. There is a separate course introduced in first year on Business Research. We are also expected to do a summer project post internships during the summer breaks.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, the college does provide internship as part of the summer internship project. The stipend has been in the range of 20,000-30,000 on an average. The experience that the students gain is huge. We also develop a project study on the internship.
Placement Experience
The placements have been good so far. We are a four year old school. We have been able to get companies like Flipkart - 11.5 lakhs pa, Citi Bank- 4.5 lakhs pa, Hindustan Times- 4.5 lakhs pa, Vox Populi- 5 lakhs pa, Royal Sundaryam- 4.5 lakhs pa.
College Events
We have held a lot of events in the past few years. There has been several conclaves, summits, conferences. To name a few, The Indian Retail Conference, HR Summit. We also have a series of 'Practitioners Speak', a talk where industrialist, entrepreneurs and academicians interact with the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a government university. The fees for MBA is 2,40,000 for the entire course. The fees differs according to the courses. The quality of learning that we have, I as a student feels that it is affordable. The university also offers policies of fee waver to those in need.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes. We are given scholarships every trimester, to those students who excel in the trimester. I have received scholarship for two trimesters. The university has an Incubation Centre which offers lending to those who have a prospective idea. This incubation is a registered entity.
Campus Life
Campus is a bliss. It is located in Kashmere gate, near Darashikoh Library. We have a nice place to hang out while being close to the history of Delhi. The gender ration is fairly equal. The university is a very gender sensitive university, and also has various Centres to ensure gender sensitivity in the campus. We have a sports room which extends all sports equipments.
Alumni/Alumna
We as a school have a good alumni network. It is known by the name AUDBAA. We interact with our alumni through various platforms like sports events, interactive sessions, coffee with alumni, alumni lunch. The alumni has extended help, guidance and support whenever needed.
Exam Structure
The exams happen in the fourth and eighth week. We do have regular assessments which are both in groups and on an individual basis. They are spread out over the trimester (we are in a trimester mode for my batch) that it does not become too hectic and we have time to study and chill.
Faculty
The faculty is qualified as well as interested in teaching the courses they have taken. We have professors from Faculty of Management Studies, Manchester University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Birla Institute of Management Technology. All the professors are PhD in their respective fields. Being qualified they are also empathetic to the students.
