Remarks

I reviewed three main factors while selecting my college. It was location of college, ranking of college, and return of my money. According to NIRF, DSEC has got 18th rank, which is a descent rank in India. The college does not offer science courses but it is very descent college for arts and commerce. The second one is located. It is located at Lodhi garden, a mile away from Defence Colony and 3 miles away from India gate which makes it one of safest college under DU. JLN metro station is the neighbour of this college as college and metro premises shares its mutual boundary which is one of the best part of college. It is also located 5-6 km away from Laxmi nagar, hub of CA Aspirant. Again the fee for 1 year is 13000 only which means 39000 for whole course fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I had passed my senior secondary from Commerce and wanted to do B.COM and DSEC was one of the descent commerce colleges in DU as per my 12th scores. The faculty is friendly and helpful. Yes most of professors are well educated and have a minimum of 6 year experience. The student ratio of boy and girl is 1:1. Our classroom having general black board but some have digital board. College premises have auditorium, amphitheatre, seminar hall, lawn, an enormous playground, arts and culture rooms, library etc. To be honest passing here is not very tough, I used to study last one month of exam and get high CGPA

Internships Opportunities

Yes I got 3 internships from college.1. Kind Beings NGO as Virtual Intern. It was non- paid internship. The key was to initiate new edushala project at new slums of Delhi. Works for sanitation, animal protection and women empowerment. I also visited a orphanage and held a fun programme for kids.Perks : Internship Certificate,LOR, LOA2. The Pocket Full of Words as Content Writing Intern. I got this opportunity in lockdown so it was work from home offer for a span of 3 months. It was non-paid internship but later I was selected as core member of company as content writer and got opportunity to make some earning.PERKS: Internship certificate, LOR, LOA, Membership certificate of company3. SRS Publicity as Content writing Intern Stipend : 2000 for 1 month Perks : certificate of completion4. Paprikapost.com as content writing internStipend: 1800 for a monthKey Role : writing exam related articles using Wordpress

College Events

The social life in DSEC is friendly and cool. As it is located in heart of Delhi, travelling here is very easy from metro, buses. College has several arts and cultural societies like dramatic society, classic and western dance society, photography society, COMHUB (Commerce society), SFAR (society for Animal Right), EcoClub and elite The Placement Cell.

Campus Life

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
