This college is an autonomous college under bput(bijupatnaik university of technology).The admission process is through the jee main or ojee and it counselling by ojee portalthis college have many awards like 69th nirf ranking in 2016 and 66 as data quest 2020

Course Curriculum Overview

I am from btech it, as my opinion btech is better than bsc courses.The faculty of nist are highly qualified and many from iits and nits.Btech is 4year program in which we have to take 8 semistars. 6 classes in a ragular days

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 118750 per year

Placement Experience

For 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement, the main companies are wipro talent next, infosys ltd (infytq upgrade, tcs ninja / code vita, tcs digitalggk, techinfosys hackathon (hackwithinfy), cerebronics technology pvt ltd, infinite computer solutions, coreel technologiesetc, highest placement was 28 offered by gcs livingston off campus and 19lac is on campus, 79% students get placed

College Events

Life at nist is very peaceful. The calendars are marked with seminars, conferences, events, and competitions. There are many clubs like astronomy club, robotics club, electronics hobby club, eco walkersclub, exceleureka club, innovaart and dramatic club, multimedia club, nist musical, society sports and adventure club, yoga and fitness club, swimming club, cloud computing club, photography club, cat club team nss, quizzards club etc

The campus comprises of a library, laboratories, classrooms, a gym and a cafeteria and administration and faculty offices. The college campus is situated in brahmapura palur hills and is based on several buildings, all next to each other. The buildings are spacious with facilities that enable students to enjoy a successful academic and social life.

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

The excellent university of odisha

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Google, Wipro, HCL Tech and many such which has been around for a while in the tech business and has built tech for many overseas companies too are the ones which have already started coming. I am in my final year and around 40% students have already been recruited and I hope before this semester ends, i too get placements.

As i didn't score much in my entrance exams I had to opt for tier 2-3 colleges from which as i am from odisha and many of my realtives and friends suggested NIST University. My College Life.

I didn't applied in any other colleges. I joined this college because the rules and regulations and the faculty members are good. The college provides an average placement of 9 LPA to the students and placements of highest package 25 laksh in MNCs like Accenture,Tata,Texas Instruments etc. To get admission in my college a student have to clear JEE exam with a good percentile and have to book seat and then have to wait for the joining list to be released by the college once it is released the student can get admission by paying the joining fees on the joining date...Read More
