Remarks

It was the best private university in North India that i had heard of and it was just opened ( it was started 1 year ago from my joining date). It was a deemed unjversity. It was close to my home place. The admision process seemed to be easy as got a lot help during admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course that i chose was Civil engineering. I chose this course as the construction thing is increasing day by day and a lot opportunities are being created in this stream. The curriculumn was easy and up to date with latest subjects and practicals which are the most important in civil engineering. The exposure is good which makes a person confident. The teaching method was up to date though few teachers were not that experienced but by the time all of the faculty became good. The professors were having M.TECH which gave them a lot experience . The exams were easy to pass with good scores as getting good internal depends upon the performance of the child in MST's. The exams were taken time to time without any delay. Even during such hard times ( corona) the university was taking the classes online and doing all possible things to make the students complete the degree on time.

Internships Opportunities

5

I opted for internship during summer holidays. It was without stipend internship. It was for 2 months. The company that i did internship was with JKPCC. The institution gives the option to the students in 8 semester whether to study 8 semester in college or to go for internship. You have to produce the internship call letter to get the permission from university. The company that you are doing internship with must be reputed.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are really good of the institution. The students doing B.TECH are elgible for placements from 7 semester. There are some companies that visit university every year. Some of them are WIPRO, IBM, MICROSOFT, AIRTEL, SAMSUNG, JIO, INFOSYS,etc. These companies give job to lot of students every year and the number of students getting placed are increasing every year. Highest package offered is 14 lakh p.a. while the lowest package is 4.5 lakh p.a.

College Events

The life at campus is good. It is a student freindly campus with wifi in hostels. Though the timing of coming in hostels is strictly followed but excpetions can be made. The food is quite good when compared to other hostels of different colleges. Many fest are organized in the campus and bollywood celebs often visit the university for the promotion of their movies. One of the most famous and main fest is 9X TASHAN NIGHTS then other fests like CU TECH FEST, CU CULTURAL FEST etc make the life at campus fun. The security guards are not that great in communication( not all but few of them). They don't talk with respect to students which can start the argument between the student and the guard.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not that expensive when compared to other private institutions like amity university or chitkara university. The placements are increasing per year which is making a good chance of students to get job from campus itself. There are a lot scholarships that are neing provided by the instituion like for SC their is a scholarship then the institution confuct a CET in which the students with good scores get scholarships. There are many more scholarships that are provided and can be known by getting their information from university. Another important scholarship is if a student gets Sgpa above 9.0 or 9.5 in Semester 1 and semester 2 combined.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel were good. The facilities were good. Everyday maids came to clean the rooms then coolers were cleaned. If any problem occured electrcian was avalaible 24í?7. The hostel is now i think centrally air conditioned. The meal quality was very good. Here also there was the same problem as told in the above answers i.e. the guards. The guards were really disrespectful towards the students. I personally stayed in the hostel for first 2 years then i moved out to my personal accomadation i.e i with my freinds rented a flat in krishna colony( near kharar).

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
