Remarks

Best commerce college in entire Northeast India. The admission process starts after deceleration of 12 and 10th results for B.Com and HS accordingly. The reason is very simple. Let me give you an example. You like a plate of biriyani more or a plain rice plate. Obviously biriyani, Gauhati Commerce College is biriyani here. You just have to grab nutrients (knowledge), wherever you get and most importantly the teaching faculty is just awesome.

B.Com, I choose this because I want to be a teacher in future. The faculty: student ratio is 1: 21. The teaching faculty is highly qualified. Most of them are PhD holders. In B.Com semester wise exams are and sessional exams are held after 2 months of commencement of classes.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Placement Experience

From 5th sem Coca-cola and Havells. The highest package is 3.7 LPA. The average package is 2.10 LPA. 6% students We are lit. After getting the degree I will be preparing for many govt exams as well as for the cat attempt that year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fee is totally free for the 2020 batch due to the Covid situation. They provide some internship programs by which you can earn and learn together. Fee structure: on a yearly basis H.S: 7000 B.Com: 9000 BBA: 12000 MBA: 20000 M.Com: 9000.

Campus Life

Annual fest, College election, Freshers party, Saraswati puja and many more. Sports: Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Chess, Kabadim and many more. Amenities: Desk Bench, Chair table, Black board & White board, Projector.

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. I applied to a lot of other colleges but those were all backup for me if I didn't get admission here . I applied in dispur college , kc das commerce college , guwahati college etc . We are admitted to colleges here using the samarth website. There are two merit lists provided by each college in the samarth website. I wasn't selected in the 1st merit list in gcc which ofcourse scared me a bit , but I got my names in the other previously mentioned colleges but I wanted to wait for the second merit list for which I had to hear a lot like what if I didn't even get my name on the second list of gcc . But I was sure I would get because my percentage was just 0.4% short from the cut off of the last merit list . I wanted this college because of emotional attachments + gcc has one of the best merits among all the commerce colleges in the entire northeast .
