NIST University, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Reviewed on Jun 2, 2021(Enrolled 2020)

Remarks

The process was very easy everything was done online we were asked to suit copies of our certificates and pay the fees. We were asked to move around be acquainted with the infrastructure. All the things were taken care of by the college staff.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was my dream to study CSE and doing it in NIST is the best experience for every 10 students there is a faculty present to guide and help through the course. Most of the faculties are PhD holders from prestigious institution like IITs, NITs etc. Our college being autonomous we had our mid sem exam exactly 60 days after commencement of the course and end sem after 30 days after mid semester.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees at NIST is expensive like all other prestigious institutions. To main this large infrastructure and have PhD faculties Requires a large capita. But there are many scholarships provided by college trustees staff and also by the government. The overall fees are 118000 for day scholars and 180000 for a hostel.

Campus Life

There are 31 clubs at NIST. Renewable energy club, NIST COUNSELLING CLUB takes care that discipline and student safety is not breached. Nist Social Service club organises various social activities. Photography club, music club, dance club, coding club, robotics club, animation and video club help student in their passion.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

DRIEMS UNIVERSITY review after 5 year of frustrating experience legacy will be continued ????....

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

I did apply many other colleges manually and got offers but as NIST was close to my native place i chose this over others. I got 65%ile in JEE mains so my admission was done directly if not one has to give NISTEE exam which our University holds is for direct admissions....Read More
