Remarks

I had applied to Rajagiri, Christ, Sacred Heart, Loyola etc. Out of these Loyola was the best-reputed college and had good campus placements, therefore I choose Loyola college. Regarding the admission process, there is more eligibility for Christian Roman Catholics. 80% is the minimum mark requirement with the recommendation, there is more chance for the student to get admitted to the college. The admission process was very easy, there was an interview on the counselling day where the class teacher met the student. It was the day we had to pay the first instalment for our fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose Economics because Economics was easy for me and I was interested in economics. Loyola gives us a good opportunity for ba economics. There is more than enough professors to teach each class. Approximately 60 students will be there in a class. The faculty is well qualified, and their teaching method is excellent. Most of the faculty teaching in Loyola has studied in Loyola itself hence they know what the students require and help them in all ways. The semester exams are conducted by Madras University and in a timely manner. It is not so difficult to pass the exams as the teachers help the students by giving them individual attention.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college encourages us to do internships while studying. The college itself provides internship in various companies. Some companies provide stipend and others do not. Companies like KPMG provide a stipend. The roles offered in companies include Data Analyst, HR, Management, Sales, Digital Marketing etc.

Placement Experience

3

The students become elifor campus placement from the 5th semester onwards. The company's that provide placements are Wipro, TCS, cognizant, KPMG, and many more IT company's as well as banks. The highest packages company's offer starts from Rs 6,00,000 per annum. The profiles offer ranges from a Financial Analyst, HR Manager, computer professional and many more. The percentage of students getting placement is about 50%. My plans after getting the degree are to work in some company for 2 years and after that doing MBA from abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

One of the main advantages of Loyola college is that they understand their student's needs. They help the poor students by reducing the fee and helping them in all ways. They give special concessions to the studio that are facing difficulty with the fees. Their main intention is that all students should reach a good position. For 1 year the fees come around 30000 or less. They give financial assistance to those in need, also they give travel concessions to children. The jobs offered are mainly from IT companies like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant etc and the salary ranges from 25000 per month.

Campus Life

5

The best experience you get when you study at Loyola is the campus experience. It is a huge campus with a huge library and classrooms. The annual fest which the college hosts is known as the Ovations. it is a big fest where teachers and students from different colleges attended. All types of books and journals are available in the library, it is one of the biggest libraries I have ever gone to. The classrooms have all basic amenities including a smart classroom, laptops, etc which enhances the teaching method for the teachers and also helps the students to understand the topic more. The college gives importance not only to studies but also to sports and all other extracurricular activities. All types of sports including basketball, cricket, tennis, football, hockey etc are there in the college. And also the college helps you to excel in each of these and takes you to a higher level in the sports you are opting. The college has all kinds of clubs and social groups.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects. It provides a strong foundation for higher studies and career opportunities. Internal assessments and semester exams are conducted regularly, with a fair marking system. More industry exposure, internships, and skill-based training would further enhance students' learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
