Remarks

I have applied to many colleges but I got admitted to this college because it is near to my house. I have not availed of any quota for admission. The admission criteria were 45% of marks in HS. The admission process was smooth and well enough. I didn't face any difficulty during the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this subject because I heard that there are many prospects with this subject. And it has many technical applications too. The faculties are very nice and highly qualified. They are really helpful and guide us at every step of our studies. The teaching method is online enow due to pandemic. The exams are conducted in the classes on a daily basis.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The hospital internships are offered to the students Semester wise, where students get chances to visit hospitals like Woodlands and get exposed to various hands-on-training and practical activities. The in-house and out-house training are also offered to the students for enhancing their knowledge as well as experience. Various research projects are carried on side by side with our studies.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college offers placement and job opportunities in various sectors like for science students like us, it offers the chance to get placed in pharmaceutical sectors, food sectors, dairy sectors, hospital sectors etc. Most of the interested students get perfectly placed in different sectors. The college offers soft skills and grooming program which helps the students to get industry ready.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is a total of Rs. 45000 for the whole course. Apart from this, we have to buy the necessary books. We don't have to take tuitions separately because the whole part of the syllabus is covered by the respective teachers. I am in my first year, so I have not yet experienced the job opportunities.

Campus Life

4

Apart from studies, this college offers extracurricular activities like sports, debates, role-plays, quiz competitions as well. The annual fest is held every year in February. The library and lab facilities are very good. We are much benefitted by the equipments, kits and instruments in lab and the collection of books in our library.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
