Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the BSc course is quite affordable. The yearly tuition fee is around ?6,000–?10,000 depending on the subject combination. In the first year, students have to pay some additional one-time charges such as admission fee (?500–?1,000), registration fee (?300–?500), caution deposit (?1,000–?2,000, refundable), laboratory fee, library fee, and examination charges. From the second year onwards, the fees mainly include tuition, lab, and exam fees with a very minor increase.
Campus Life
My overall experience with campus life at Brainware University has been positive and balanced. The university provides a lively social environment with various academic and cultural activities throughout the year. The annual cultural fest is usually held between February and March, where students participate in music, dance, drama, debates, and other creative events. Technical and academic seminars are also organized department-wise, especially during the academic semesters.
Admission
I chose this college over other colleges mainly because of its affordable fee structure, proximity to my home, and stable academic reputation. I had applied to a few other nearby government and private colleges offering BSc, but some had higher fees while others had limited seat availability. In a few colleges, I could not get admission due to high merit cut-offs and limited intake for my subject.
Faculty
The faculty members in my college are well-qualified and experienced, with most holding postgraduate degrees and strong subject knowledge. The faculty-to-student ratio is decent, around 1:25, which allows proper interaction in classrooms and laboratories. Teachers are generally approachable and supportive, especially during exams and practical sessions, and they are open to clearing doubts after class hours.
Night Life
The nightlife in and around Brainware University is calm and disciplined rather than very happening. Inside the campus, most facilities such as the library, gym, and cafeterias usually close by the evening, around 7–8 PM. After that, students mostly spend time in hostels, common rooms, or open campus areas. Hostel entry timings are strictly followed, and late-night outings are not encouraged.
