Remarks

Initially, the students apply for the courses they prefer and later get an acknowledgement from the college telling the students to appear for the selection process. Certain courses require mandatory entrance exam Where're other courses require your academic percentage. Initially the officials check your 10th and 12th percentage and if your grades prove satisfactory for the course then you are promoted to the next step of selection. The students will later be guided to the respective officials for the courses they have applied for. The officials then ask you questions regarding why you have chosen the subject and why have you chosen this particular college for your education. Once you give the necessary answers to the officials they approve your application and send the selected students for the final approval from the principal where the students along with the parents have to meet the Higher officials and once they approve it then they ask you to pay the fees for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course which I had chosen in this college was BA economics as it was new to the steam and lot of government jobs are available for people doing this course. The students present in each class are 100. The faculty present are very knowledgeable and proficient in their courses. We had two semesters each year and as long as you put effort into studying you can pass them with good results

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies such as Dell, Google, Microsoft come to our college to hire students during campus recruitment. The students are placed in jobs depending on their academic performances, the higher the performance better the placement.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the fourth semester, students are eligible for campus placement. Companies such as Google visit to hire students depending on their skills. Almost 50% of the students get placed depending on their accomplishment.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for every course depends upon the courses you take. As for the course which I have chosen the fees rate is very nominal and no donations are accepted which is a positive thing about our college. As for now, I haven't begun my final year to get a placement or a job.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college usually takes a lot of initiatives when it comes to hosting cultural fest and other programs usually conducted in the month of September. The availability of books and journals are enormous thanks to the huge library.

Hostel Facilities

5

Our college consists of three hostels depending on the students. Those who can afford better rooms have individual blocks whereas the others are meant for the common. Getting a seat in a hostel is difficult as many people come from different states. The environment is also very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects. It provides a strong foundation for higher studies and career opportunities. Internal assessments and semester exams are conducted regularly, with a fair marking system. More industry exposure, internships, and skill-based training would further enhance students' learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
