My college experience

The admission procedure was not so bad, there was an interview first if you clear that you can proceed for the further round. If you belong to Uttarakhand then for you it's not difficult to take admission because there is a quota for Uttarakhand residues. The eligibility criteria are there you must have completed your 12 with 60% and above.

I choose BCom Honors because I want to make my career in the Finance side. All the faculty members are so good and helping in nature they provide us with all the notes and study material and the students are also very good they take care of their colleges also. All the faculty is enriched in the knowledge of the subjects they are teaching and college is having a wide variety of faculty as till I have studied 16 different subjects in 2 sem and all from a new teacher (a great mentor, friend). Coming to the exam it is not so hard to pass the exam if you are attentive in the classroom.

For the undergraduate program student gets an internship from 4 sem and also they can generate job offer by there performance. College asks for the reports they have done in the internships mainly known as summer internship projects. some companies provide stipend on a fixed basis while some on performance-based.

The placement is something we look at very first because everyone is fond of the return from the investment. For undergraduate courses students sits in the placement drives after 5 semesters and for Postgraduate it after 3 semesters but we also get internship opportunities in the 4 sem and if the performance is very well we can get the pre-job offer letter. The average package is around 3 to 4 lakhs per anum and the highest wall 12lkh per anum last year. Most all the students get placement opportunity rest is upto the performance of the candidate. Companies that visited the college last year was TCS, Naukri.com, Wipro, reliance, etc.

I personally think the fee for the course is high for the undergraduate program but sometimes it feels like it fine also like the quality of the study and other extra co-curricular acivities but it's high definitely. The university also provides scholarships toh the students based on the marit list and also ther is fees consession to the residents of uttarakhand.

There are many fest and functions on the campus. Although I couldn't attend any due to this pandemic. But from seniors, I have learned this. The library has all the stuff related to the course you can find anything there, in fact, I found space there which I heard of never before it is like a cyber cafe opened in the library so that if we can not find the material in the books we can search on the internet and take out prints. The teaching is also done from the same method as from projectors. Coming to sports there is separate space for sports in the college i.e indoor and outdoor. Inter-college sports championship also conducts every year.

During admission, you need to carry all the documents of yours with you. if you are matching all the eligibility criteria then you need to face a personal interview round. No need to worry about the interview round contains simple and general question about you and what you have done in your life to date. They are not judging your answers they just see your confidence to speak up. So you just need to practice for the simple interview questions, try to be honest and more reliable and just speak with confidence.
