Remarks

I applied for tbs Jammu only and gone through the process of gdpi and documentation verification and among 150 students 60 got selected ..students got admissions on basis of CAT ana MAT .preferences are given to CAT candidates and then to MAT candidates .and graduation markers also do matters in admission..in this session 2020-22 a Nigerian student has also taken admission

Course Curriculum Overview

I have choosen an MBA course to enhance my management skills and TBS is known for its faculty members Every faculty member pays attention to each and every student..even in this pandemic in online mode faculty checkout that each student understands everything properly.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities

So many companies come to business school for providing internship oppurtunities. Students of tbs, I availed internship in sharekhan (in finance) and 100% students for internship through the business school.

Placement Experience

After the third Semester, students become eligible for campus placement and an average package of ( 4 ) four Lakh per anum in the package provided by tbs to students. Students who do well in interviews get placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of TBS is best because it is not possible to pursue an MBA in such a low amount of fee anywhere and in this fees charges tbs also provides books and all material required and in tbs scolarships are also available for scholars

Campus Life

In business school, sports, cultural events, and many things are available but unfortunately, we could not get that because of this covid era. The campus of the business school is very beautiful and tbs has its own library

Interview Experience

I have given GDPI in the business school at time of admission and in that process pannel of tbs was there and they conducted group discussion and personal interviews of students..and after first sem an external faculty had been invited who took a general interview

Review about the The Business School, University of Jammu

Likes

The course is very much affordable as comparison to the other colleges providing the MBA
The Campus environment is very much eco friendly
Well qualified staff that too very much experienced

Dislikes

Small batch size the total size of the batch is almost 60 -65 students
Self finance seat costs almost 3 lakh rupees in addition to the course fee
There is much provision for the reservations

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements from 3rd semester itself. The companies that provide placement in the department are ICICI BANK, AMAZON , ITC, BIRLA OPUS, HDFC BANK and many other . The ICICI Bank offers the highest package i.e. almost 10 lakh .

Being consistent is more important than being motivated

Likes

The library of the college is good I mean you will get every type of book.
Park is very neat and clean and is maintained very well.
Infrastructure is too good neat and clean.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is not too good I mean very few students gets accomodation
All the faculties are not too supportive to students.
Campus placement percentage is very less (8%)

I choose the course because I was working in a private company as a team leader where I feel still need to learn more management skills to enhance my career at a better place.the faculty of the college is moderate.the semister exams are conducted very timely.

Golden Days of College

Likes

Flexibility of availing library facility when required
Campus is good and needs to be upgraded more.

Dislikes

Even these days where technology is advance, faculties are working as per old module
Campus should be renovated and new technology should be introduced

I wanted to to Bca as i was into softwares and my interest has always been into technology. 40 students over a faculty Most of the Faculties were PHD and well educated and their teaching method was above par It was never on time and it wasn't much difficult to pass exams

Placement Experience:

Last semester students become eligible for campus placement in the central university of Jammu.Companies visited Aditya Birla group job profile- Talent Acquisition HR, BYJU'S - Human Resource Manager, Innvalous Technology - Inside sales marketing /etc, Highest placement package offered 10 LPA CTC. 50 % of students get placed from the central university of Jammu with a good package. My plan is to start my own business in the field of marketing.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester, students become eligible for the campus placements and students starts getting job offers from various companies such as Pepsi, Hdfc, Axis, Unilever, etc. with a starting package of 4lakh-6lakh per annum. Almost 80% of the students every year gets the campus placements.

My MBA Life at TBS

Placement Experience:

As mentioned earlier, TBS has strong industry collaborations with various elite corporate entities visiting here to offer campus placements to students. The students become eligible to sit for campus placements in Semester Third only. A good number of students receive placement offers making TBS the first choice of students who want to pursue an MBA in Jammu.

I chose this college as I liked the campus because where it is located that is known as the heaven of India. As we know Jammu & Kashmir's climate is very awesome and the college is near to the city, the airport and they offer the best foreign exchange program that helps in studying abroad.

My Experience In TBS (MBA)

I didn't applied for any other college because TBS is one of the reputed university across India and also only 4 kms away from my home that's why I took admission here. I didn't avail any quota for taking admission to inTBS. I applied for the SMVDU earlier, but due to the high fee structure there in comparison of TBS, I switched to TBS. I didn't avail any quota for taking admission here. Based on my MAT score which was good enough to land me offers from various renowned B-Schools (mostly private), I applied only for The Business School, Jammu University. The reasons being : It has a legacy of creating world-class management professionals and an institute that offers NBA and NAAC accredited MBA courses. Earlier I applied for the IMS but the location of the college doesn't suit me at all so I dropped the IMS JAMMU. No quota was availed by me to take admission in TBS JAMMU.
