Remarks

Nirma University is located on the outskirts of Ahmedabad near the industrial area which is a huge advantage for it. The admission process comprised of filling in the application form and based on your 10th, 12th and undergrad marks as well as CMAT score, you'll get admission into the institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am very much inclined towards marketing and marketing faculties here had worked in the one or marketing field and having a real-life business experience which adds value to the teaching. Faculties also help in making students industry-ready. Also, 1:25 is the faculty-student ratio which is quite decent.

Class Size: 260Course Fees: INR 950000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are approx 10 lakhs which doesn't include hostel and mess fees. There were fees hike this year and due to the online mode, there wasn't any reduction in the fees. Any financial aid is not given by the institute but you can apply for government scholarships.

Campus Life

Due to the pandemic, the entire first year was online and sessions were conducted through zoom and google meet. All the fests, business conclaves, cultural activities, indoor sports games and competitions, all happened online, however, we enjoyed it a lot.

Life @ IIMA

Placement Experience:

The placement season at IIMA starts from December onward. This includes a three to four day marathon placement season that witnesses more than 150 companies visiting the campus. These companies include MNCs such as American Express, Blackrock, Boston Consulting Group, Mastercard, P&G, Nestle Indian conglomerates such as Aditya Birla Group, Tata Group, Mahindra Group, HUL, technology companies such as Amazon, Zomato, Sprinklr. In total ~480 offers are made to candidates in total across laterals as well as finals placement processes. A 100% placement has been a record at IIMA for many years now. While the average package lied somewhere around INR 20 LPA, the maximum was to the tune of INR 75 LPA (and perhaps even more for international locations). I ventured into consulting domain, one of the most revered and sought after clusters post my MBA at IIMA.

The good environment to learn good aspects and ideas

Placement Experience:

Final year 1st semester also eligible for campus placements in jobs, internships and researchs etc.. and companies are visited in this college is Apollo pharmacy, Aurobindo, Dr.Reddys, Hetero. The 60 percentage of the students are placement getting, but those are some students only joined in particular job positions.

K.S - a learning place

Placement Experience:

Placements are very nice, placements are provided once the student completes the final master year I.e. 5th year. After that, the student becomes eligible for placement. Many companies like Tata, Data consulting, reliance, etc. Have visited and got the best of their employees at this place. Most of the time 100% placement is offered.

Remarks:

Information asymmetry can be easily observed between PGDM (DS) and BE students. Many times, important information is asymmetrically distributed in BE and DS students. Many of us were called again and again to join Development Studies track. It also happened that after joining DS course, many students opted to take up BE again. If you are inclined towards social work, join DS, otherwise don’t, you will suffer.
