An honest review of PSIT, Kanpur

The Admission process was seamless, I got admission via the UPSEE exam and got computer science. There are two ways to get admitted here to PSIT. The first one is to get direct admission which includes a written test based on which kind of branch you have chosen. The second one is through UPSEE. On the day of counseling, we have to take many documents with us, especially if you have taken any gap after 12th you have to get a gap affidavit and your original mark-sheet (of both the classes), Aadhar card, caste certificate, domicile certificate, etc.

I chose computer science and engineering because I like to know and gather info about various technologies. I have always been fascinated with the awesome technologies since childhood that changed the way of livings of humans and also helped them in many aspects. Now, talking about faculties members in PSIT, they are quite helpful and are great teachers with good teaching skills and also they have great knowledge in their respective domains. They help each student and not only focus on enhancing the technical skills but also enhancing students' overall personality. So for personality development, we have English training classes ( thrice a week) which include training of vocabs, GDs, public speaking, etc. We have many other training classes also. Now, If we see our academic calendar we have 2 CTs (class test of 15 marks), 2 assignments, and 1 PU (pre-universities) for better preparation and evaluation of internal marks.

The companies which visit our campus are Infosys, Cognizant, IBM, HCL, Capgemini, and many more. The average package here is around 4-5 LPA. The highest package is 26 LPA (in 2020) and the percentage of students getting placed is 96% in 2020. After getting the degree my plan is to do a job for 2-3 years then I want to open an NGO for the poor or needy people as well as animals.

The fees for computer science are around 160000 for the first year(in 2019) and as our college is affiliated with AKTU so we have the opportunity of a scholarship in which you get around (54000 for the OBC category. Now for placements, we have companies like Infosys, cognizant, etc.

The PSIT has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with a good atmosphere and also there is proper maintenance of hygiene, greenery, etc. We have an annual fest named Ignitia. Classrooms are well-ventilated and provided with centralized AC-duct and in each classroom, there is a projector for better explanations and quizzes.
