Excellent learning and placement opportunities.

I appeared for UPSEE 2017 exam and secured a decent rank and applied to various colleges. I took direct admission to PSIT for which my UPSEE rank and scores of 10th and 12th were considered. I also had to face an interview, but overall the process was smooth and transparent. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech is a minimum of 60% marks in the 10th and 12th standard with 60% above in PCM. I chose PSIT over other colleges considering its high placement record, highly qualified faculty members, good alumni network, and great infrastructure.

The course curriculum is well designed to accomodate both theory subjects as well as practical knowledge and training. From the first semester itself students are trained in new technologies as well as spoken and written efficiency in english. All faculty members have a masters or PhD and are well versed with new advancements in technology. Each semester has elective, regular and practical subjects, for internal assesment we have 4 assignment tests, 2 Class Tests and 1 Pre University exam followed by the External University examination in each semester. Hackathons and coding competitions are held throughout the year to prepare students for the placement season.

The students are notified of all internship opportunities both on-campus and off-campus and companies like Infosys and Nagarro offer internships to students. The students are also provided access to online courses to enhance their skills.

The placement season generally begins in the 7th semester but the preparation starts way before. The college gives training classes to help students prepare. This training help in both placements and other competitions. Students get placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Mettl, Nagarro, Daffodil and many more, with packages ranging from 3.36 to 8 LPA. Some students also clear exams like GRE, GATE, CAT etc..Overall the training and placement department provides placement assistance and off campus opportunity notifications to students. Uptill now around 80% students have been placed from our batch and most of them with more than one offers.

The fee structure is reasonable considering the facilities the college provides. Annual fees was around 1,50,000/-. The hostel and mess charges were also reasonable and varied on the choice of AC/Non- AC. The AC bus facility costs around 36000/- per year. Campus placements and internship opportunities lead to a good return on investment. I got placement offers from TCS (3.36 LPA) and Infosys (3.5 LPA).

The college has a vast and green campus. The campus building, as well as hostels, are fully air-conditioned. The Townhall auditorium has a huge seating capacity. Sports facilities include a Basketball court, Football ground, Badminton court, gym as well as other indoor games. The campus also has a central library with flexible timings and spacious reading hall. Various events are organized throughout the year like the annual fest Ignitia held in the month of February, Footprints (the sports event), waves, as well as many competitions and seminars. There are various clubs and committees that are active throughout the year. The college canteens and coffee joints are great places for students to hang out after classes.
