Summer Internship Project (SIP)

I applied for many colleges like SPPU, SSPU, MIT, etc but I did not take admission there because of the trimester pattern. I did not go through any quota for admissions. The admission criteria as minimum marks for 10th and 12th pass with distinction. There were various rounds like PI, GD rounds. The admission process and counseling day were pretty quite interesting.

I wanted to study and learn about businesses and their administration. So I opted for BBA. It also has a great scope for the future. The faculty to student ratio is 1:50. The faculty members are well qualified. We have almost all our faculty with PhD Degree. Their teaching methods are good as well. We have one exam per term with internals as well. It is quite easy to pass the exams.

Amity has a SIP -summer internship project which is to be done, at the end of the 4th sem i.e; 2nd-year end. The college offers us internship opportunities by companies, some of which are paid while others are unpaid internships. The job roles are also quite good from HR to Marketing to Finance, etc. The projects and tasks are assigned.

We have a placement cell at amity. there is a faculty assigned for the same. he looks after the campus placements of students in various big companies. last semester students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package offered was around 12-13 LPA. A lot many students get placed in big companies like Citi Bank, Bisleri, Cybage, etc. I plan to work in some big MNC after my degree.

The fees are not too high. Our semester fees are 65,000 per semester and around 1,30,000 per year. Full course fees are around 3,50,000. There are scholarships and financial assistance given for admissions.

Life at the campus is the best- it's a very happening, fun college. We enjoy it alot at Amity, Pune. we have many events and activities organised, Sanghatan and Udaan are two main happening events in Amity. Udaan is conducted with great enthusiasm and energy in Oct month and likewise Sanghatan. There are many books, journals, magazines available in our college library. We also have a sports day where sports events are held. Amibolt is another sporting event held in amity. we also have many social clubs run in the college.

Yes, there were GD, PI and interview rounds with written tests as well for the admission process. The topics were general topics- current affairs related, and educational-based topics for interview rounds. The test pattern was a written test. I prepared for these by reading books, magazines, and getting the general knowledge about current affairs.
