Remarks

The University is among the most well known and trusted institutions of Gujarat and to pursue my MBA from such an institution was a great opportunity for me and I grabbed it. Nirma university was positioned 44th in 2020 MBA rankings of NIRF. My university has been approved by UGC & AIU and also holds Grade''A'' accreditation of NAAC. For admissions to the famous MBA program here the university checks the past academic performances, CAT score and PI/GD round

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I've always illustrated myself to be a well known professional in management field and to reach such a position I decided to opt for MBA. The university is leading name in the state and has the same kind of teaching staff. The faculty team includes both industrial and educational field professionals having the best of knowledge about their respective fields. The students are provided with theoretical as well as practical knowledge by the faculty to prepare them for the future challenges.

Internships Opportunities

5

I don't know about others but for me Internship was really the best thing. I got a 8 week offer by Deloitte and they were among the best 8 weeks of tye whole program. My co-members in the firm told me about small to small thing about working and I really think that the internship has played a major role in my growth.

Placement Experience

4

Talking about the records, our college recorded neatly 95% placements for our 2020 campus placements. Most of the students were happy with the packages while some were not that satisfied. The most number of offers were made under Marketing and the top recruitering visitors were Infosys, Deloitte and Reliance. Our 2018-20 batch recorded the highest salary package worth INR 16 LPA while the average package for MBA was INR 8 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Nirma University has a fee structure which is quite comparable to JIM,Jaipur. The total fee for the 2 year MBA program here at Nirma is INR 10.04 lacs among which INR 9.52 lacs( tuition fee) is also included. To give financial assistance to the needful students the university help such students in getting study loan from banks. A good number of merit based scholarships are also available there under some criterias.

Campus Life

5

The campus life has a good balance among academic and non-academic activities. The Cultural fest, annual fest along with different kind of competitions were organised by the institute. Nearly 30,000+ books and 610+ e-books are there in the college library. Vichardhara, Niche, Karwaan and Expressions Club are some of the famous clubs while committees like Mess committee, Cultural committee and Placement committee, Khelnayak,Students association and Placement committee are also available there at Nirma University.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

In my opinion hostel life at Nirma was a complete experience. The facilities were more than satisfying and the expenses were also not that high. The rooms can be availed by the students as per the requirements and there was availabilty of both sharing and single rooms along with or without Ac facility. Laundry services were also available there. The services of mess were also great as both quality and taste of mess food was good. I really appreciate the University for this.

Admission

The selections for MBA are done as per the regulations set up by the adminstration. Factors like entrance score, previous academic performances and interview round performance are the factors checked for admissions at Nirma. Applied candidates are firstly shortlisted on their performances basis and then they appear for the interview process. There overall performance was evaluated for the final selections.

The placement season at IIMA starts from December onward. This includes a three to four day marathon placement season that witnesses more than 150 companies visiting the campus. These companies include MNCs such as American Express, Blackrock, Boston Consulting Group, Mastercard, P&G, Nestle Indian conglomerates such as Aditya Birla Group, Tata Group, Mahindra Group, HUL, technology companies such as Amazon, Zomato, Sprinklr. In total ~480 offers are made to candidates in total across laterals as well as finals placement processes. A 100% placement has been a record at IIMA for many years now. While the average package lied somewhere around INR 20 LPA, the maximum was to the tune of INR 75 LPA (and perhaps even more for international locations). Remarks:

Information asymmetry can be easily observed between PGDM (DS) and BE students. Many times, important information is asymmetrically distributed in BE and DS students. Many of us were called again and again to join Development Studies track. It also happened that after joining DS course, many students opted to take up BE again. If you are inclined towards social work, join DS, otherwise don’t, you will suffer.
