Trainee Experience

The colleges which I have opted for are 2 wherein one is PSG and the other is SKASC. The reason me choosing skasc is because of two reasons one is skasc is close to my house and I have heard that the placement opportunities are more than in PSG. I did not avail any quota for admission. the admission process for skasc was the same as most of the colleges. The percentage of class 12 should be more than 80 percent and if you're taking a little advanced course then you have to show the marks in each individual subjects In this process, there was a counseling day where we go and choose our required courses or the tutors would help us decide on taking any course with the provided marks.

The course that I chose was BCom banking and insurance and the reason for me choosing this is because I wanted to specialize in insurance and do my postgraduate in risk management of insurance. and if you look at our faculty and student ratio it would be around 50:1 which is a bit tough to manage a class. but it can be controlled under students corporation. The tutors in the college are very well trained and qualified for the courses that they are teaching they come up with various ideas and methods of teaching due to the current pandemic situation where offline classes dont work. Timely exams were conducted in college but due to the lockdown in all areas of tamilnadu it just gets postponed but the exams are pretty easy if your subject knowledge is in your hands.

As mentioned before I have just completed my first year in the online mode so I have never got the opportunity to work or take part in an internship but by concerning with the seniors I have come to know the internship has helped people in molding their career as well as their future by showing their strength and weaknesses it also showed then on how an employer should be handling or doing his daily task in an organization with their targets and pressure being put on them.

The college provides a lot of placements when I went for admission in the year 2020 there were around 80 companies for hiring freshers from all the departments. the students who are eligible for placements are in the third year .and there were many companies such as tcs jaro education amazon flipkart etc and these companies would provide a good package for freshers and the highest package that I heard from the seniors was around 18 lakhs per annum and there are no specific percentages asked but still certain companies would have like criteria for hiring the freshers.

The fee structure in my college is feasible for most middle-class families. I don't know whether they provide any loan facilities for the students to pay the fees. Over the years there may be an increase in fees but it may vary according to the courses that they take, and they also provide certain scholarships in college which I don't know much in detail about.

the campus is amazing and very well kept .it is full greenery in college as our college wants to make a good atmosphere for the students too .they also received the award for the best-mainatined college for the year. the campus has great infrastructure and provides modern-day classes.they have a lot of extracurricular activities which takes place online as well as offline and currently i have finished my first year in online mode and not been able to put my foot in college. but according to the seniors i have heard that a lot of fests takes place in our college.there are various clubs to join such as rotary ncc and nssand furthermore.
