Remarks
Actually, I haven't applied to any other colleges. Since I couldn't see it in person due to the pandemic so, I can't say much. My main focus was to find one which has good labs, closer to the home, affordable, provides internship offers, supports projects, good hostel facility, a nice campus of course, etc and CU happens to fit in. No specific criteria for admission. If you can pay, you are in. The admission process was also simple.
Course Curriculum Overview
I intend to become a Graphic Designer that's why I choose CSE in CU. Faculty students ratio is about 1:40. All of the faculties are qualified and the teaching platform used is also decent. Exams are also conducted from time to time with a gap of one month and are up to the mark as well.
Placement Experience
CU offers open placements, so not only the local students of CU but also from other colleges can apply for placements. After 3rd-year students are eligible for placements and the percentage of getting placed is also pretty decent. The highest package grabbed in the year 2020 was 35 lakhs per annum from Arcesium, a US-based firm. Around 600 companies offer placement offers on the campus every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is challenging for the middle-class men's pocket. Sometimes they ask the students to pay the fee for the next semester even before the end of the current semester. You are also given the scholarship depending on your CGPA in the previous semester's final exams (as they say atleast). You can apply for an education loan from the campus as well.
Campus Life
Since I didn't get the chance to visit the campus till now due to the pandemic, I can't say. But I believe campus life must be amazing. Also, the infrastructure is pretty good too. CU also supports sports and cultural activities.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility at CU is pretty amazing. Spacious rooms, gardens in every building, equipped with gyms. The meal served at the mess is vegetarian and of optimum quality. Application for a hostel facility can be done online. Hostel charges and allotment depends upon 4 seaters, 3 seaters or 2 seater room you choose. Primary medical facilities are also available on the campus 24x7.
