I looked up for best universities for BTech in Chandigarh and straight up found CU, so I did a phone call to enquire about the courses and the fee. They told me about the courses and admission process. There are two ways to get admitted, first give the CUCAT exam to get the scholarship or get it on basis of board performance. I opted for an exam and got a 20% scholarship. Then the required formalities were done and my student ID was generated for attending classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in game creation and designing and I got just the required course, a specialisation in games and graphics. The teaching methods are very much suited for online learning, the use of blackboard software as a medium of communication makes things easy and smooth. The first MST was a bit too early but as I was a late attendee so can't help much. But the exam timings are good. About the difficulty level, the questions are rational and much related to real life scenarios making the exam not too difficult and not too easy.
Internships Opportunities
I just entered the second semester so there has not been even a single internship course yet. There have been some cultural exchange programs to study abroad. Also, we can get internship by means of Internshala or other websites, college internship comes after 2 years
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee has been divided into 8 parts per semester, and students can pay the semester fee in parts too, even time relaxation is provided to those who could not afford to pay a fee in time. The scholarship is also provided to relieve parents from the burden and to encourage students. On basis of JEE, board exams and different quota scholarships students have a variety to choose from. 7.5 cgpa and 75% attendance is mandatory to continue the scholarship.
Campus Life
Due to covid, I didn't attend the college but I did visit it once. There were online freshers held with some great prizes, I too won ambrane headphones, and there was a CU talent search program held too. The classroom is well furnished and provide a good environment to study. Also, lab rooms are equipped with good computers for learning There are sports teams too but I don't know much as didn't get to visit the campus. There are various social groups and clubs too and they host many events in a timely.
