Remarks
I applied for Chandigarh University as it is well known for its placements. In addition to that to get admission in any course here is not a cumbersome process at all. For the master's course, you need to have scored at least 60% in your bachelor and the admission criteria or cutoff percentage is relatively lower here. When it comes to age U must be at least 21 years and have scored a minimum of 50% in your Bachelor's degree.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this university for this course as firstly it's not too far away from my residence and secondly it's one of its kind when it comes to providing role training and education to the students. The faculty-student ratio is higher as enough teachers are available for the number of students here. Moreover, the exams are conducted semester wise which is quite difficult to crack and score higher. Also, the course and curriculum tend to make a student a master in his field of study as it consists of in-depth insight into how the actual work is done in the real world.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered in Big 4s and the big startups and the roles are of some associates; analysts; marketers etc with a stipend of around 10 Thousand to 15Thousand. These internships provide in-depth training and hone the skills of the students. Students get to work under experienced people who prove to be so beneficial in the long run as they also refer the students for other roles as well.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are conducted twice a year in which many reputed and big companies come and give huge packages to the students. Almost all the students get exposure and placements in these placement drives. The packages range between 6lakhs to 12 Lakhs. and these are just the beginning which has the potential of increasing so far. Students willing to be a part of such placement drives have the option of showcasing their talents in front of the alumni and those wishing to start their own startups can also get funding depending on their ideas.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is satisfactory as the amount of fee charged per year for the course is neither high nor low and it's increased at a nominal rate of 2%. Students can also avail themselves of scholarships, fee concessions based on their availability and meritorious. The cost to study is on an average level as the services you are getting in return are quite impressive. The name itself of the institution exhibits a relatively higher degree of quality education and skills.
Campus Life
The campus life is also great and students get to access many co-curricular activities in addition to studying here. Many camps like NCC, NSS are conducted and sports-related tournaments are also there to participate at an inter-college level. The books and journals available in the library are up to date and all kinds of study-related materials are readily available for the completion of projects.
