Remarks

I applied for many colleges in north India, as well as in southern India but what I came to know is CU is perfect for this extend of fee structure as well as placements. The admission criteria for this university is you need to be qualified by 60% in 12th and if you need any scholarship you have to be a good scorer in jee mains and they have a personal exam called cucet also which I preferred.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose cse because I had a passion for laptops and software. The faculty-student ratio is 50:1 Teachers(mostly) are well qualified. Exams here are always on time and they are moderate in level, they always give priority to academics and they do not compromise with that.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Till now I have done only one internship that is of web development and DBMS . Till now I have not got any stipend for these because these are just for training purposes but as you go in 3rd year they provide stipend too.

Placement Experience

From the 3rd year itself, students get placement offers. There are more than 400 companies who visit mainly mass recruiter's here like Wipro, Tata, etc but there are MNC's too like Microsoft, Infosys, Google who provide quite good packages. Avg. package is 4 - 5 LPA Highest package 38 LPA (Amazon till now) There are greater than 80% of students who get placed on the real count.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for any general course for engineering here is 1lakh 60 thousand for a year. I chose BE CSe and I am quite happy because I got a decent scholarship too. There are many ways to get a scholarship like on basis of jee mains score, 12th-grade score and what I preferred is cucet exam through which I got 30% of scholarship on my fees.

Campus Life

First of all, I am in 1st year now and due to the covid pandemic I haven't got a chance to study at campus yet . But what I know is there are many fests like freshers party , some summer camps , tech fest, and many more. Books are in huge numbers in library. There are many sports opportunities in CU as you can go for national level too if you perform well.

An honest look at campus

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

SLIET longowal has well structured curriculum as per new education policy with well structured labs. to prepare for real world, college provide funds for startup and also motivate students to gain industry exposure. Many improvements can be done in curriculum like integration of cutting edge technologies, smart board, digital labs. There are three exams per semester two minors which take place in month of august and september and major or end sem exam in month of october, the timing of exam was from 1 pm to 4 pm. the difficulty level of exam is moderate

Placements in lovely professional university is decent and dont know much about it as i am in 1st year only but there were mandatory Placement classes for all which you need to select in 1st year only for which you need to pay extra 20k for the classes.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
