Remarks
I applied through the official website of Chandigarh University. Minimum marks 50%. Minimum age is not a criterion. The counseling session was good which prompted me to take admission there. There are no limited seats in the CSE branch so you can come and take admission in September also if classes began in July.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to be a programmer. That's why I chose Chandigarh University and Computer Science and Engineering. Faculty to student ratio is 1:40. The faculty is well qualified though may be inexperienced. They provide study material which helps the student in their exams. Exams are 2 mid-semester and 1 end semester. They are not difficult to pass. One-day study can help you pass them if you pay attention in classes.
Fees and Financial Aid
I personally have a 50% scholarship due to the marks I have in 10+2 i.e. 95%+. Fees are not hiked i.e. you pay the same fees in the 8th semester as the 1st one. I am currently in the 5th semester so I cannot tell about the placements in detail but senior reports say it is better than other colleges.
Campus Life
There are many cultural and extracurricular events organized throughout the year. But in this COVID-19 situation, the number of events has reduced but they are organizing it online. The Library is present in each academic block. The 100-acre campus is flourished with a well-planned infrastructure. There are many clubs also present for the students to join.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is also good. Separated for both boys and girls. My hostel name is NC-1. Every meal of the week is different and the menu is repeated weekly and changed after 2 months. Registration for a hostel is done at the time of admission. Food quality is good. There are 4 beds, 4 tables, 2 fans, 1 cooling vent and a balcony in each room.
