Remarks

I completed my Graduation from SSCBS,Delhi and afterwards I wanted to pursue my MBA from my home state and Nirma looked like the perfect place to me. The University was 44th in MBA 2020 rankings of the famous NIRF group. It is accredition by NAAC with Grade''A'' along with UGC & AIU approvals. For admissions to the MBA program in the University the entrance test score, records in previous academic classes and Interview performance is checked.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As MBA has been emerging among the most opted programs in today's technology run environment. After doing BMS it was the ideal program for me. The modern classrooms and teaching of the faculty help the students at Nirma to get the best of exposure to management. The faculty of the institute is highly professional having a great amount of experience and knowledge to share.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship time period was a very eventful one for me as It gave me a great amount of experience in industrial work. I got to interact with management experts from different domains and they also gave me great amount of learnings with were really beneficial for my all-round performance growth.

Placement Experience

4

Nirma University has been recording decent placements from the very start but I think they can even better with some changes.Still our 2020 batch recorded 95% placements for our program. The highest salary package was INR 16 LPA with IT & marketing being the top recruting domains. Famous firms such as the Reliance Group were present there with the average package being INR 8 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Nirma University holds a fee structure which is lesser than most of the B-schools of the state. Students will have to pay a total fee of INR 10.04 lacs in which the tution fee is also combined. Students will have to pay extra charges for the hostels. The study loan benefit is also a great opportunity for the students who cannot afford the structure. Merit based scholarships are also there for the deserving students.

Campus Life

4.5

Nirma University takes good care to maintain equal balance between different activities. With the Cultural fest and annual fest being organised in a grand manner by the Institute the debate competitions are also there. Nearly 30,000+ books and 10,000+ journals are there in our library which is a great facility for the students of our college. Famous societies like Saral, Vichardhara, Karwaan, Expressions Club along while Student's committee and Placement committee are established there at Nirma University .

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I have stayed in hostels of SSCBS during my BMS Days and really enjoyed the experience. The hostel life at Nirma was also of the same quality while it was more comfortable for me because of my home state. There are both single and sharing type rooms in which Ac facility can also be availed under some additional charges. The authentic Gujarati taste of mess was a great thing as it enhances the overall taste of mess food. The hostel fee was also affordable.

Admission

For admissions to Nirma the procedure of admissions is a very transparent one. The shortlisting of applicants is done on the basis of CAT score and academic background. After which the interview round is there to examine various aspects of the students. The performance done by the candidate in both these events was checked for admissions

Placements are very nice, placements are provided once the student completes the final master year I.e. 5th year. After that, the student becomes eligible for placement. Many companies like Tata, Data consulting, reliance, etc. Have visited and got the best of their employees at this place. Most of the time 100% placement is offered.

Remarks:

Information asymmetry can be easily observed between PGDM (DS) and BE students. Many times, important information is asymmetrically distributed in BE and DS students. Many of us were called again and again to join Development Studies track. It also happened that after joining DS course, many students opted to take up BE again. If you are inclined towards social work, join DS, otherwise don’t, you will suffer.
