Entrance Preview

I was admitted through then AIEEE rankings. I got 15000 rank and that was like top 10 ranks that showed up to the University. I choose ECE because of my interest in the field.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is pretty good and at par with the standards provided by other top Universities. There is huge scope to get involved in research with world class labs. But all that depends on the students. You don't have much choice in elective because in most cases there are only two choices per semester and one of them is going get filed up fast and you will have to adjust with the other.

Internships Opportunities

There are no specific posts as internships it is just the placements that show up at the end of 4 years. some of these might be internships.

Placement Experience

3.5

Almost 80% of the people get placed by the end of the course. A high majority of them in TCS. There are also some other good companies that show up like Amazon, ebay, Facebook, L&T construction, Bosch, Schneider Electric, etc. The average package may be stated as 5 lakhs per annum.

College Events

0.5

There are many department specific events conducted by each department every year. Other than those there are university wide cultural and technical feasts conducted every year which attract students from all across India. These are pretty big and the technical event also attract foreign students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is pretty reasonable for a private college. It is around 40,000 per semester and should be paid at the beginning of the semester. Other than that there is just the examination fee which would be only around Rs.1500 . College also provide scholarships to students who cannot afford good education.

Fees and Financial Aid

The top 2% of the students(based on grades) are provided with a Rs.16000 scholarship each semester. The top(2%-5%) are also provided with a scholarship but a lesser amount. There is also a hostel scholarship awarded at the end of the year for students with good grades and good behaviour.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratios are pretty good. The college is pretty strict on the male and female interactions and female students are not allowed to leave their hostels after 6. It is a bad policy from the University thinking that restricting students is making them good. But actually what is happening is students are attracted to bad habits once they leave the University and do their jobs where there is no one to restrict them.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students did help us in finding jobs and also setting in new cities when moved there for a job. The university doesn't provide any alumni connections but students do it on their own interest.

Exam Structure

There are 3 internal exams out of which best 2 are considered. These weigh 50% of the final grade. The semester exams weigh the other 50%. The labs are not so hectic and are reasonable for an engineering lab. The exams on the other hand can be a bit hectic.

Admission

There are two types of admission processes. One is based on high school marks. The other is based on AIEEE(JEE) rankings. I was admitted through AIEEE rankings. Apply for admission online stating you rank. A counselling date will be provided when to show up at the college. On that date you go there and based on your rank you will be called up to select your course.

Faculty

4

There are some good faculty who are like the top professionals in the country in their fields. Their research inspires many of us. But on the other hand there are also few faculty who are not qualified well and just have a Masters degree. But that might change with the University's new policy of hiring only Ph.D holders.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
