Remarks

ADMISSION PROCESS: No, there is no entrance-type examination for admission at the Undergraduate level. Admission takes place by marks obtained in classes 12th and 10th. The first shortlisted applicants by the basis of their marks (as said above) and the College give a counseling date for admission. At the time of admission, you have to pay some admission fees to book your seat. Yes, there are some seats for sc, st,obc and PWD candidates. No minimum age required. You can apply to various subjects but you have to choose only one of them if you get it. Suppose you get a seat for Mathematics but after some days you get a chance to take admission in Physics then you have to show a payslip given by college during your admission in Mathematics to reduce the admission fees. The admission happens in a hall room and some officers will come and call the name of the eligible candidates. If you were once absent at the time of counseling, if you are eligible for the applied subject you will not take admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I chose this subject for my interest in this subject. Actually, I love this subject since my childhood days. Faculty:student=4:23 There is only one permanent professor in the Physics department (Nowadays), others are guest. I took the admission for some really good professors who have been transferred. There is no Practical happened due to the Covid pandemic situation, but they cut marks in the practical examination as the checking is strictly done.

Fees and Financial Aid

The approximately total fee of the course(UG in Physics) is are 50000(14000-15000 per year). There are no hidden fees to pay the College. Yes, college help to get scholarships like Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship, Kanyashree scholarship, Oikashree scholarship, etc. There is a campaign held to get a job directly through the College.

Campus Life

2

Fest: Every year the department's people get together in the fest. The fest takes place basically at the riverside in the winter season. Library: First of all you have to pay small fees to get a library card and then you can get into the library. All the books are not available in the library, but you can get a book on that topic you find. Every day they upload newspapers and journals in the library hall. You can read books in the library hall silently. You will be not disturbed. Classrooms: Some Classrooms are too big and some are too short. You have to adapt classrooms with the PG students due to the lack of rooms. The rooms are not heat-regulated. Old fan sounds can affect your concentration during class. Sports: Indoor games like table tennis, carrom available but outdoor game is not possible since there is no ground. Student union and College have their own websites where you can get all updates.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
