Remarks

I have done my bachelor's from Chandigarh university only and that's why I decided to do my MBA from here only. You have to apply online and you must be a graduate with minimum 55% aggregate marks and cleared CUCET or CAT/MAT.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I did my graduation in hotel management and wanted to pursue my master's in hospitality only. The faculty of chandigarh university is very nice and generous. They're well educated and have good teaching skills. Our exams and classes, they conduct everything online due to covid.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I did my internship at Internshala, it was a work-from-home types of internship. The faculty helped us with our CV's and Resume. I did my internship at CBS INNOVATION and my work was mainly related to distributing free homestays membership, arranging online demos, and product promotions. The stipend I got was of Rs. 6000 per month.

Placement Experience

4

To sit in campus placement, you must be a student of the 3rd semester. During 3rd sem, companies start visiting our campus for the process of recruitment. The highest package as far as I know was of Rs. 25 lakh and the lowest package was of Rs. 4 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you want to pursue MBA from CU, then it will cost you around Rs. 2 lakh in the first year. They also provide scholarships. For the scholarship purpose, you have to appear in CUCET, and depending upon how well you perform, you will get a scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Sadly, during my MBA we didn't get to experience campus life but I have enjoyed my campus life throughout my graduation. The campus is very beautiful, and every now and then there used to be different events happening. There's a library for students and canteens also.

Interview Experience

4

There was no Group discussion. They conducted an online exam of CUCET and for those who did well, they called them for an Interview. Since I gave MAT, that's why I directly gave the interview only, and to be honest, I was very nervous during the start of the interview, but the interviewer made me comfortable and it went well. They asked to be very basic ques. Regarding my interest, what I aspire to become in the future etc.

Remarks:

I completed my BBA from CU and really liked this university because of it's amazing infrastructure and the kind of high level education and practical skills they were providing. It was already decided that I wanted to pursue an MBA program in the long run. I took CAT and was able to score as per CU criteria and I was an alumni of this college only so I was given preference, although the admission was done on merit basis. I also had to pay INR 1000 as the application fee while applying through the official website of the university.

I did my masters from Punjab Institute of Management and Technology and the level of education I got from the college was impeccable. It made me capable enough to successfully start and run and expand my business. I would definitely recommend my college for the sole reason of its precious academics and the supportive faculty. Though the campus life and extracurricular activities are also refreshing and memorable.

I think that our college is good an average. The fees are a bit expensive but feasible and they refund me the concession money for the semester and the hostel fees. I had fun with my friends and classmates too.
