Remarks
To get admission into IIPS-DAVV, one needs to clear the Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by the university itself. I cleared CET with a decent score and got admission into BCA+MCA (integrated 6yrs) course in 2016. The admission process is quite simple and clear. It involves 3 counseling and based on your CET score you were asked to appear in the counseling. I am a general category student, so I didn't benefit from any quota and got admission in 3rd counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to choose MCA from the beginning itself. I like programming and my family background also thrives me into this course. All faculties are well educated, very supportive, and helpful. If I talk about term exams and internals, in a semester there are 3 internals and 1 main exam, and best of 2 internals plus main exam marks counts to generate the final result. In between the semester, there are many cultural fests and events used to happen which not adds as an entertainment factor but also makes this college unique from others.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is offered in the pre-final year of the course and the stipend offered is also decent. During the internship, many students were provided with permanent placement offers (ppo). In terms of opportunities, IIPS-DAVV never lags behind. It's always on the top.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are just outstanding in IIPS-DAVV. Students are given enough opportunities in their placement year. Companies start visiting in the second last year of course. I am a 2022 pass out so companies started visiting in the month of July 2021 itself and fortunately, I got placed in July only in one of the elite companies named Impetus technologies with an annual package of 5Lacs. The average package Many reputed companies used to visit in our college like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, FICO, Impetus, VMWare and many more. The average package offered is around 4.5 lakhs and the highest package offered is up to 14 lakhs. 100% placement is offered to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
In year Course fees is 75000 approx and cost of living as a student is approx 6000-7000 per month. In between the course, I got 2 scholarships as well namely Central Sector Scholarship and Medhavi Chatra Scholarship for being among the topper on my 12th board.
Campus Life
The lush green campus of IIPS includes an academic complex of the classroom, seminar room, auditorium, a well-equipped library, computer center, and administrative offices. The campus is one of the biggest campuses as per my knowledge. The DAVV campus comprises of 8 UTD colleges among which one is IIPS.
