Entrance Preview

I did not take any entrance. I got in with my HSE marks. I chose it because the selection was purely merit based and it is the best private institution for Bio-related subjects. There are n number of facilities available to improve your knowledge here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is structured in a way that you first understand the basics and then move to advanced. All courses have the same pattern and my course was interdisciplinary than other courses. Our course plan is actually at par with Harvard course plan and the things we learn are actually way ahead of the students in the West. This college prepares you for conducting research or studying after your bachelor degree.

Internships Opportunities

No, I am not aware of any kind of such activities in my college at least in my department. We have SAP, where students are sponsored to go abroad and do project in one of the institutions with which we have an MOU.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college is known for its placements and job opportunities. Nearly everyone in my batch had a job in their hand when they left college. It is the one place where you can be sure that you will have a future. The job opportunities are plenty and you will get them all the time.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's very feasible. When I was studying, the sem fees was 40,000 per sem and they have very easy facility to take loans from IOB and CUB. If you are staying in hostel, you will have to pay an annual rent and then monthly 2000 to 2500. You have everything inside and is cheap to live in Tanjore.

Fees and Financial Aid

The loans are good. IOB and CUB gives good loans and it is easy to avail. There is one scholarship if the student's father is dead. You get your fees repaid for every semester.

Exam Structure

Exams are actually based with two components Internal and External. Internal is for 50 marks and external 50. You have to get overall 50 to pass in the paper. We would have 3 CIAs with 50 marks each and these will be converted to 20. Say if you have got 45 in one paper, it will be converted to 20 and your mark would be 18.

Faculty

3.5

All faculty are pretty much the same and have thorough knowledge on the papers they teach. They are so focused on research and they teach us new things every day. The CIA are always given towards understanding a topic on our own and also increased our experience of presentation.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
