Remarks
The admission process was quite easy in Chandigarh University as compared to other colleges I have applied to. The faculty was super-cooperative which makes everything easy for me. Basically, minimum marks must be 60% in 12th and I got 94.2% in my 12th. Just because of this they gave me a 50% scholarship. And I think this means a lot. No other college was there to give me such a big scholarship and also campus placement of Chandigarh University are excellent. So that's also the main reason for me to choose CU over any other University.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is overall very bad, To be honest, that's well more than my expectation and the faculty members are cooperative but not that much as they were used to be in 1st Semester. Sometimes they dont even understand the situation of the situation and instead of giving a response, they leave our message on seen.
Internships Opportunities
Actually, I am in 2nd year so I dont much about the company names and their projects but as I have heard a lot of good reviews from my seniors that they provide internship opportunities with your placement in which internship time may be between 2-9 months vary from company to company.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite brilliant. Hundreds of MNC come here for placement drives. The highest package is 35lac and the average package is nearly 5-6lac. The percentage of students getting placed is a minimum of 60%. My plan after getting the degree is to travel abroad for my masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are quite high as this is obvious because this is a private University but there are also different scholarships available for us like on the basis of caste, 12% percentage. Even CU has its own scholarship exam known as CUCAT which is held literally every semester so you can apply for that as well.
Campus Life
Actually, this question is quite difficult for me to answer because Our batch of students has never been on campus due to this pandemic. But there are still a lot of co-curricular activities held online. But No matter they will arrange hundred of activities but nothing will feel like on campus activities. And we dont even get a chance to socialize.
Hostel Facilities
So here I will truly share my opinion I have paid 22k in Feb because there was a hope of college reopening. College faculty said to us that if you will not pay this amount then there will be a chance that you will not get any seat. So just because of this, we all paid the fees. But our University didn't open that time, then they were being this mean to us if we said them that adjust our 22k in academic fees they simply give us warning that if you will do this we will cancel your seat. At this time they have to understand the financial condition of students. That's very disappointing to me.
