Remarks

The admission process was quite easy. For admission, you can visit the official website of Chandigarh University and apply. You will have to fill in the basic details like your name, age etc. You are also provided with the scholarship in the tuition fees based on your percentage in the 12th class or the score in jee the main exam. You will have to verify by providing identity proof such as an aadhar card etc. After the fulfilment of all the details, you have to pay around Rs 5000 to confirm your seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty in CU seems well qualified and the teaching methods are quite simple and understanding. Each group is divided into two or three sections ensuring a 1:30 faculty student ratio. The faculties are quite friendly with the students in listening to their doubts or queries. Right now the term exams are going online due to this pandemic. The syllabus and the level of difficulty of exams are quite easy.

Internships Opportunities

Our many college students are performing internships in big companies like Google, Microsoft etc. It has the highest no. of placements. There is a lot of training provided to make projects etc. Staff members are also very helpful in solving the doubts.

Placement Experience

After the second year, the students are eligible for internships in various companies. The Number of placements is good. The highest package is 36 lac per annum. the average package is 3-4 lacs per annum. After getting my degree I want to be a software engineer.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is quite annoying here, they want you to pay the whole fees of the semester before a month.The refund facility is also quite slow.You can available the scolarship on your previous scores in 12 th and jee exam

Campus Life

Due to this pandemic many of uss haven't seen the college physically.But there are lot of webinars and techfest in arond every two weeks.Chandigarh University provides various facilities for both academics and sports.It provides special previlege for the students playing in tounaments etc.

Hostel Facilities

There are four types of hostels for boys each having different facilites for room size,lift etc.You can choose the hostel according to your requirements.the meal quality is average.The menu has different varieties of foods.There are alot PGs nearby if you want to avail the PG.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
