The hostel is quite expensive it depends on the type of room a student is using there is 2 seater 3 seater 4 seater AC and non AC respectively rooms present mostly first-year students gets a 4 seater room. 3 seater rooms are not easy to get for National students it is actually reserved for international students. Food is somewhat good and bad it depends on the taste of students. But I would say food is not that good registration process for a hostel is quite easy only the problem is the required rooms are generally filled as there is first come and first get policy working for hostels and to book the particular room and a good hostel you need to pay an about 30% of hostel fee in early months. Few students also prefer PG are rented rooms which are also so easily available for students but still the security is not provided I took hostels, not a PG. I paid 90000 for 4 seater non AC room and submitted approx 34000 in the first month, fortunately, I got Nek Chand hostel which is best available in the university
