Remarks
Location of my college is perfect, it's situated in pollution free environment and I loved that! Weather is the best!! Fees was reasonable and placement records were pretty impressive for the university. My university is naac accredited A+, with many other accreditations under it's name and has many MOM with foreign universities and colleges. CSE and IT is one of the most popular stream they have. Since it was close to Delhi and is obviously a lot better than private colleges of Delhi I choose CU. I used many websites to read about reviews and feedbacks about the colleges like Shiksha.com and college dekho etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum were designed good enough, faculties were not that great, like not all of them were great but yes you'll find some great faculty their but again which college doesn't have this problem? Student ratio was something to be considered as they don't have the best ratio, from 2016 CU was so popular for their CSE almost 1000s of students were registered for CSE in 2106 and since then it has only grown. So you might face a little competition.
Placement Experience
For specifically CSE/IT, students from these background will be placed. Like almost all of them can, around 500-700 companies will be visiting, or could be more and package could be as higher as 35 lakhs, generally the average package is around 4-6 lakh.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure has been updated with every enrollment process as I was paying something around 65k for one semester today for the same stream it might be higher. Scholarship and financial assistance were plenty, they conduct their own exams like CU-SAT etc. And for reserved and categories they do have fee wavier and for those too who have performed well in their 12th or JEE.
Campus Life
I had prolly the best campus life at CU, annual fest and tech fest were quite popular at CU, Bollywood celebrities has their pit stops at Chandigarh University I've witnessed almost dozens of celebrities their, even many Punjabi singers, DJs and Bollywood singers were common attraction at CU. To be honest CU hosted some of the best fest of all universities. Library were not the biggest but you will find library at every building or sometimes on every floor of the building! they have big grounds for sports and all, they have conducted national level sports organizations! Although they have many many clubs but they might not be active.
Hostel Facilities
BEST! Not exaggerating but seriously! Meal is the best among any colleges I bet. Hostel has almost all the facilities like Medical center, departmental store, food joints and gym! you say it our hostel was loaded. We had many buildings, basically CU had almost 25k+ students so our complete hostels were a small city.
