I gave EAMCET and i got 4249 rank. I opted vaagdevi college as it is in the city premises so that we can commute from home daily.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good and it is from Kakatiya university. More than curriculum, the teaching methodology in vaagdevi college was good. We are the 4th batch in the college and we had the previlege to do our practicals in a good way with all the equipments.
Internships Opportunities
We did the internship from outside pharmaceutical company. Our college gave us the opportunity to get entry into a pharmaceutical company for our internship. We did not got stipend from our college as well as from the company where we did the internship.
Placement Experience
Actually there was no placement cell at all in vaagdevi college. We did job search by ourself. They told us that they are working for in campus placements but it will take 2 more years. But now there is a placement cell with career guidance. Now what i am hearing form my juniors that around 40-50% students are getting jobs in the in campus selections only.
College Events
Freshers day for our juniors, annual day was celebrated every year in a big way, pharmacy day was also a special event for us and we used to prepare for that from almost a month. All the students were participating in one or the other activity which actually made us close to our seniors and our juniors also which we are still maintaining till now and hope we will maintain in future also.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is expensive. At that time we paid around Rs 50000 per annum for 4 years apart from exam fee. For everything there was a fee and sometimes we felt bad of not participating in the events due to lack of money, because at that time we were completely dependent on our parents for our financial needs.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, i did not got any scholarship as our college did not have any such type of activity. Loan is through bank only and college is no way connected with the college.
Campus Life
It was pleasure studying in vaagdevi college. we are almost 60:40 of male to female ratio. there was a diversity in our college as many non locals were studying in our college. we never had a tough time or we never threated them as separate. we are all together and studied as well as enjoyed our college life.
Exam Structure
We had 3 internal exams and best of two are the options. Daily we had one practicals in the afternoon. Labs and equipment are good and we had joy in doing practicals. Especially microbiology lab in our second year was good and pharmaceutical analysis in third year is also very good.
Admission
In EAMCET counselling, i opted for 3 colleges and vaagdevi college was the top most priority. I was called by the EAMCET convenor and verified all my documents. After verifying all my documents they asked me to do the payment and confirmed my seat in vaagdevi college.
