Remarks

I applied to VIT...then I got in. But when they told me fees it was expensive for BTECH use. You have given an exam then if manage to surpass the cutoff you will get in. Age should be above 17+. 10+2 marks 60% criteria. There was some fee for counseling then they tell you your marks and the institute you will get with those. They will ask you if you want it or not. They give details about fees, eligibility, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was always into technology and coding so it's evident that I will choose computer science. Students are a ton over 4000+. It's hard to survive between 4000 students who share the same dream that I do. The faulty is good teachers teach in a good way. I haven't given any exams yet. But it looks like they won't be that hard.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The students are allowed to do internships in the 7th sem. So their attendance won't affect. If you get into any big companies maybe there will excuse for doing an internship in the 4th sem. Attendance is mandatory here.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students become eligible for placement in the 7th sem. There are about 600+ companies that visit here. The top MNC's also come here to recruit. The highest package has gone about 40 lakh something. The average is 5-6 lakh for all branches so for CSE it goes higher. 70% students get placed as some students go higher studies some for government sector some army, etc most of the students gets placed in here. My plan is to do what I love most so it won't be a burden to do it often :).

Fees and Financial Aid

The Semester fee is 90k. So you are in a 4year course so around 720000. The hostel fee is 90k per year. There are many scholarships you can get in here. The various opportunities. But you have to work hard to get into good companies, don't worry about companies, you do your best it will eventually get into top MNC's.

Campus Life

4.5

Due to covid, there aren't many fest and technical events, etc. But here you will find a variety of fests, you won't be disappointed for sure. There is a big library here. They are ebooks and books. You don't have to worry about the library they will provide you with any book. The classroom contains 40-50 students per section. I really can't comment on sports here as the covid hit everything went into pieces so but there are sports fields, gym, etc. There are clubs that are run by students especially tech clubs. There are a ton of clubs you can join no need to worry about that stuff.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is a bed, table, and chair. There are Ac rooms and non-ac rooms as per your need and budget. There is a study place on every floor where you can study without any nuance. The meal is okay. The food here is good. The menu changes every 3 months there is a night canteen. For the registration of the hostel, you have to book through their website cumins. There is pg available nearby. If you go into the city the rent goes up.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology | Btech CSE

It was expensive compare to CU

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
