Remarks

One of the primary reason was that I wanted to do Engineering from a college that is located near to my hometown and also which is reputed one. At the time I joined the university It hold a rank of 37 in India among the top engineering colleges. Since I am from Shimla I will not comment about how pleasant the weather is. For weekends you can go Shimla as it takes 1.5 hours to reach. The mess facility is very good. Campus is not very big but beautiful. Study is like any other engineering college in India. Some Professors do good job but there are many who just do formality. One night study before exam is enough to score decent marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

I did CSE form this college. There were around 7 batches of CSE and each include around 30 students. The course curriculum was good. Teachings in computer labs were also good. As I mentioned earlier some did great job in teaching and many were there to just do formality. In one semester there were 3 exams T1,T2 and T3 with marks 15,25,35 respectively. Also each semester include 2 times practical exams. Qualification of the faculty members was also good.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Internships Opportunities

No I did not do any internship from college as there was no opportunities provided by college for internship. So everybody search by there own for the internship opportunities that was mandatory after Third year.

Placement Experience

Most of the companies come to the main Jaypee campus that is in Noida. So for most of the companies people have to go to JIIT noida for test and interview process. Some compant also visit Solan campus but very small number with less package.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Initially Tuition fees was 60K and like any other college it was raised by 5k for the next batches. Hosted fees was 40K and apart from this 60k was development fees for ever year costing about 1.3L per semester.

Campus Life

The campus life was wonderful. Friends I made here were all wonderful people. Most people in my batch include people from Himachal itself then followed by Punjab and Delhi. There were sports fest called Parakram and annual fest "Le Fiestus". There were other tech fest also.

Hostel Facilities

Most of the rooms in hostel included double rooms. Hostel were near to acads. There was separate hostel for freshers. Rooms were good include bed, Table, Chair, shelf and almirah. Washrooms were cleaned on daily basis. Campus was also clean.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

No, there wasn't any interview. They took JEE mains marks in consideration for admission. We went to JIIT Noida for admission process and seats for every branch of Engineering was filled according to the marks scored by students in jee mains examination.

Likes

Dislikes

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

Likes

HODs of the college are good and well experienced as they are retired or done there masters from government colleges
Principle is also highly educated and good human being

Dislikes

They take lot of fees and not provide quality education
The infrastructure is bad and poor , no mentainance at all
Charge unnecessary fee , no computer lab , poor library, poor labs no equipment

Course Curriculum Overview:

They just teaches you to complete the syllabus only There are 1,2 term exams (MST) in a semester Honestly they repeats the PYQ but they fail all the students except few who gave answers in class and are their favourite

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

Likes

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

The college campus is a pretty nice place to explore and it's beauty will make sure to bring you close to nature
Noone can get bored by the interesting assignments you get during your course

Dislikes

Many of the infrastructure and basic requirements are lacking
There can be more educational tours for students

Everyone know that agriculture is of great importance and it's worth is increasing on a daily basis and opting for this course helps to learn various scientific methods to allow in the improvement of the traditional farming methods. With the help of agriculture extension.. these technologies are provided and being taught to different farmers and stakeholders. This course also allows us to get the practical knowledge by different field works.

i like availability of nice infrastructure amid the beautiful valley of shimla and also practical knowledge as heavy flow of patients is there.
a lot of patients are there thats why easy for students to access things
faculty is also nice they are doctors so learning from their experience come in handy

Dislikes

cafeteria needs to improve as there is no availability of variety in food
some people tend to take upper hands because of authority
due to large batch size some students tend to be hidden among masses

I loved the beautiful view out here the different varieties of flowers, Greenery , this university also held many kinds of club like socal club, eco friendly club and many more
I like that this university always take care about nature beauty they grow many trees for oxygen
They also serve society provide basic needs to poor people also running a club for poor people donate them food, shelter and clothes

Dislikes

I don't like the faculty of this university like they never co-operate with childrens they come and complete their duties and go
They only take care about there repo they don't care about students here half of the boys drink alcohol they just ignore them and move to next
Teacher have no sense of talking with students they behave like trash I'm very disappointed with this university at first they show their image like a clear paper but after entering there i came to know the real image of this university

Course curriculum is zero they never show any kind of efforts in teaching our exams were going on and one subject teacher just send notes and said Learn it and write exams like she never attended class not even one class business studies teacher just come teach give homework and go and next day come and ask questions if students don't know answer just say them to get out from the class is this the way to talk with students they are not their servents never ask if they have any kind of doubts and maths teacher just write question and their solution and read that solution students come here to learn something but they behave like trash

Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements. Juit is good

I had got admission in Jaypee noida but in 128 sector and also stream was IT which I didn't preferred so I left that.
