I applied for very less college.since my cut off was low the possibility of me getting any Anna university affiliated colleges were less. So i wrote entrance exam for Amrita University and Vit. I did get Amrita but felt Vit had better exposure. They were lot of reasons as to why I chose this college. Of most the colleges I searched this had mechanical with specialisation courses. Doing a minor in something will make me a step ahead of every other mechanical engineer. I also compared the curriculum with many institutions,this was far by the best with perfect exposure. They have variety of other non graded courses to help me focus on my hobbies and interest. Their tie ups with many foreign institutions and industries will be an advantage for me if I use it in the right way. Again the only way of getting into Vit is through their entrance exam VITEEE. Since my cut off was low I had to rely on these entrance exams. of course, like everyone, I wrote JEE mains unsecured person, but still couldn't get a good college since I am general category. keeping that aside, I had also applied for dayanada sagar university and SRM University and also had given KCET. I chose this college because A few of my known seniors had studied here and also looking back at the records of this college.
