Remarks

In Chandigarh University, they will take cucat as their in college competitive exam and if you scores good marks in that you will get scholarships which will be a deduction in semester academic fees. They also provide scholarships on the basis of JEE mains and board grades. You can directly call the helpline number provided on the internet on the site of the University for admission, they will guide you with the whole process. I have applied for some other colleges but in a few of them I was not selected and it seems Chandigarh University placements rate was pretty much high so I joined it despite joining other colleges. I didn't have any quotas The marks for admission required is only 50% in boards but you will not get CSE branch for applying for CSE you have to score at least 60% marks on boards. The process of admission is pretty good actually they will guide you with all the availability and facilities, they will not make you wait for long for any of the work.

This course is in very demand in the technological world that we have and I also had my much interest in this field. Faculties are very cooperative even after college hours they will be available on mobile for helping you with doubts. Faculties are also much qualified in their own subject and teaching method is also good Term exams are not very much difficult but it will not that easy that you will clear it without reading anything.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are also available companies also come for internships and they will provide you with PPO You need to make projects a bit bigger projects for getting internships Capgemini, Wipro and. Others always come for internship Running projects are very necessary for internships.

Placement Experience

Placements are at a very high rate average salary is 6 lac per annum. There are approx 200 companies for the CSE branch available. In the 6th semester you will get to sit in any company drive Microsoft, cognizant, Capgemini are some companies that visit The highest package last year was 35.5 lac and the average is 6 lac 97% students generally placed After college, I'll be going to a company for my jobs

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are not that high I guess but at the same time it's not very cheap also, fees is for us 96k per semester. The scholarship will be provided as per JEE ranking, CUCAT ranking, and even with board marks if marks are very good. The cost of fees is moderate I guess. Campus placement is a very high rate in our college and the average placement offer is about 6 lac LPA.

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good, the environment on the college campus is very nice and fresh. Fest is freshers party, Festival fests, etc.. A variety of books are available, there are plenty of books in the library. Classrooms are very nice Sports facilities are also very good you will get every sports item very easily Clubs are there for every extracurricular activities

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is very nice and wardens are also very cooperative. Room facilities are very good, you will get all every required facility in hostel rooms. Meal menu and food are hygienic and less oily and all Hostel registration is easy but if there is room available then, and changing of the room is very difficult. Rented rooms are not very far from college, they are available in omega city, modern valley, etc..

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
