Remarks
Admission was through UPSEE counseling which was smooth. I applied for AKGEC and KIT as well through direct admission but got admission in ABESEC through the counseling process. I didn't avail any quota nor apply for a scholarship. There is no admission criteria, only one has to lock the seat in college through the online portal if the admission process is UPSEE counseling. In direct admission cases, a brief interview is taken too. Age at the time of admission if the minimum permissible age for under graduation. On the day of counseling, one has to carry the required documents mentioned in the program admit letter and has to reach the venue at a given time. It's a bit hectic and time taking as there are other students too (depending on the reputation of the college).
Course Curriculum Overview
As I was keenly interested in the Automobile sector,I joined Mechanical Engineering. The faculty ratio is 5-6:60 which is better. For teaching, min qualification is Ph.D. in respective specialization and work-ex is a plus point.The teaching method is conventional but the quality is good. Most of the faculty spread awareness of the present ongoing market situation. Exams are conducted thrice in a semester i.e. 2ST's in 1st and 2nd month of semester, 1Pre-university Exam- 15-20 days before semester exams and final Semester in end term.Its not difficult to pass. One night study is sufficient to pass any exam.
Internships Opportunities
No stipends were offered during the internship but got selected for 2 companies for internship Installation of 0 liquid discharge UV plant for converting waster water into reusable wastewater for industrial and sanitation purposes.
Placement Experience
From the 7th sem, students are eligible for campus placements. 150+ companies and 300-350 offers. Highest package- 27LPA by amazon, lowest package-1 LPA by Quantum 85-90% of students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
A fee hike is observed after COVID19 which I don't appreciate. There is no fixed hike policy from the management. The cost to study for B.Tech is around 1,40,000 avg of all sem. The scholarship is available for financially weak students by UP Govt which can be availed.No financial assistance from the college. I got 4 jobs from campus but not from my domain so I didn't join. Many of us faced job scarcity of core domain which is a general problem everywhere except premium colleges.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted every year along with tech fest like Robocon. Yeah, the library is very rich and has all study and preparation material of all domains. Journals have different sections and are well maintained and with the latest publications. Classrooms have a projector and proper Audiovisual. There are many groups in colleges having many extracurricular activities promoted from sports, art, literature and technical etc. There is a drama club called Sanvaad run by college students to nurture art and drama activities.
