I was overwhelmed to see every one of us dealing with the same emotions. We all were super excited at the prospectus of college life ahead, a little bit scared of facing the upcoming board exams and heavy hearted at the thought of missing many of our school/college friends and class mates.

SRM has it's own entrance examination along with its own scrutinization. The marks I remember was for 100 marks but honestly I don't remember the exact marks I got. But I remember my rank was around 8000. If I recollect correctly, it was 8027.

Smart enough to get in, smart enough to get out well

Remarks -

College management was mostly political appointments during my days there. Definitely leaves a lot to be desired. Its a good college which remain on top purely because of the quality of the student intake rather than its own efforts.

Took engineering entrance examination and along with HSC scores, qualified to enter this college. Only IIT and ECG were the premier colleges in the state. IIT generally requires CBSE syllabus and extensive coaching to succeed. I studied matriculation and can't afford private tuitions. So scored the best I can and tried to enter CEG. Lucky enough, I was able to as the fees are low in govt colleges. Mostly image of the college as the no.1 govt college, the social status it would provide my parents...

A gift that will remain

Remarks -

I have absolutely loved my college part if my life, and I owe it all to the university I was a part of. I would definitely suggest the same to anyone who is looking forward to a fruitful career, and an adventurous life. The college management has taken extensive efforts to make the college life of any student under them, have a safe environment to work, grow and learn together. The initial hiccup would be the fee structure, but the bigger picture is always the life it gives you. It's worth it.

The entrance exam I had written was Amrita entrance exam, for engineering courses. I had a ranking of 7800, and I had counselling, through which I could get myself into the engineering stream. I was determined to get myself into this University, that I had the courage to not even apply in any other University entrances. I did not even have a second thought on anything else. I had my first overview of this college when I was here to drop my sister off for her college. Back then, the impression...

Pakka BTECH experience

Remarks -

Concluding, I can say that studying in NIT TRICHY, not only developed my inner personality , I made several friends, including some, because of whom I feel lucky. The college provides, like many prestigious institutions, all resources to place our career in a Fruitful way or to destroy us, as like both sides of a coin. It is tested in our hands to make a maximum benefit from the College. Director of our college Respected Mini Shaji Thomas, is well educated and experienced, enabling our College in safe hands. Other management is worth appreciation , and striving hard for our better future, both Students and the Reputation of the College.
