Remarks

Admission was based on JEE mains score and board exam score. There aren't any minimum score criteria in JEE main required for college admission but based on your rank you can get good scholarships. The minimum score to obtain inboard is Physics-60, Chemistry-60, and Maths-40. My admission happened in the online mode that's why there is no such significant incident. Only thing is that the admission procedure was very smooth. For admission, we have to apply to the university website.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because of its vast opportutnity in this University. Faculty : Student ratio is 1:25 in average case. In few cases Faculty:Student ratio is upto 1:35. All the faculty members are well qualified and their teaching methodology is above average with few exception. Every classrooms and lab has projectors, which enhances the teaching even more. Term exams are held strictly according to the schedule. The difficulty level of the exams are very standard in which, students need to have complete concepts to answer the questions.

Internships Opportunities

The companies which offer internships are Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, etc with stipend of 10000-15000 per month. The projects are related to web development, backend, chatbots of different organization, etc

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies which visits are Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Infosys, Byjus and many more. Almsost 85% of students gets placed each year. Highest package offered so far is 40LPA, Average package is 7-8LPA. Profiles offered are full-time software developer, junior software engineer, cybersecurity analyst, software engineer, tech support, etc. My plans after getting degree is either getting placed or higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike policy is unknown. It remains constant for a particular batch. For new batches, fees may increase or can remain the same. University provides scholarship based on JEE Mains rank or Board exam score or CUCET exam score. Otherwise, it also provides the facility of educational loan

Campus Life

The campus of the University is really great. It has various clubs like dancing, music, photography, theatre etc. The club activity is mandatory for all the students. Besides the club, the campus has beautiful well-maintained gardens, food corners, bank ATM, hair salon, sports complex, gymnasium, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The room of the hostel is adequately large. There are 5-seater hostels, 4-seater hostels, 3-seater hostels, 2-seater hostels and 1 seater hostels respectively. The 1 and 2 seater hostels are usually reserved for International students. Each room has a big cupboard, a table, a chair and bed for individual student. Each room also has air cooler because of extreme hot conditions in summer. Each floor of hostel has 4 washroom and 1 large drinking water tap. Food quality is good in mess. Mess serves food 4 times a day. Registration process of hostel is done offline but you can select preferred seat and pay hostel fees online. If anyone wants to rent PG, he/she can either live in PG located 1 km from campus or in Kharar region which is 6km from campus..

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late

Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
