Remarks
Good Highlights: An overwhelming infrastructure. Experienced faculty. Great job placements and offers. Nature is seen blooming everywhere because of many trees and other plantations. A green and clean campus. Student requests are heard and acted upon. I really cannot think of a bad highlight.
Entrance Preview
I took the IIT and BITSAT entrance tests and didn't have a considerable rank in any. I chose Chandigarh University because of it's infrastructure, academic excellence, experienced and well qualified faculty and an environment that provides a secure present and future.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course in which I am affiliated is well structured and organized by the management and the professors and teachers teaching them are efficient in their task.
Internships Opportunities
I do not know about this.
Placement Experience
The placement : student ratio is high and many MNCs visit the campus for placement drives. The packages offered go as high as 23-25 lac per annum.
College Events
The regular annual fests are: Aaghaaz (Freshers' Event), CU Fest (Cultural Event), CU TechFest (Technical Event). Apart from these many other events are conducted regularly like literary events, sports meets, seminars, competitions, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is normal and feasible. Many scholarship schemes and discounts offered to deserving students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loans are available with correspondence to various banks. Scholarships and discounts are given to siblings, army personnel's students, SC/ST caste students and students with good grades in academics.
Campus Life
The campus life is lively and joyful. There are numerous shops and food joints, sitting areas, gardens, playgrounds, courts, seminar halls, auditoriums, garages, music and dance clubs, and so much more.The gender ratio is more or less equal. Hostel DJ nights are conducted, many extra-curricular activities are conducted and participation is over the bar. Many blood donation camps and relief funds are also organized frequently.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are well maintained and clean with 24*7 electricity and water and other basic necessities. A room is shared by four persons with a bed and wardrobe for each. Toilet and bathroom depends upon the type of hostel you choose (attached or common).
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni is very thoughtful towards students' need. The management is excellent overall. Senior students are very helpful and no ragging was or is practiced in the university premises.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is well-organized. All the subject teachers submit question banks and a question paper is made while considering each and making a balanced paper as well as challenging exam. The exams are divided into 3 sessions and one final in a semester. The labs are frequent and not hectic.
Faculty
The faculty is very interested in making students understand and learn the subjects and the concepts behind them. They focus on individuals also and take doubts and queries very often.
