I applied for shyam lal college(shahdra). Because it is nearby my house. I belongs to sc category and i got admission on cut off 74.5 At firstly the cut off for gen is 96 by at 5th cut off it goes to 89. Admission process is very simple. Buy. Firstly get verify your marks for cut off. Then buy prospectus, fill forms. Then verify your documents by staff. And submit it to admission window. Within 2 hr your admission is done. Then submit the fee

I take admission for b.com programme. The faculty of the college is above average. And student ratio is also good. Faculty is above the average. And teachers are also helpfull. Maybe all teachers are phd. There the exams is semester wise and a semester is of 6 months. The difficulty level of exam is not the too hard or not the too easy. If you study some regularly the you got pass. If you think to pass by studying 2 day before exam. Then it is hard to got passed

They are various banking and other Manjari come please come to college to give to give internship to the students and the role will get done the internships are are as management trainee and data entry operator and 12 and the task

After the 5th semester first Court eligible for the college placement there are approx 10 visited the villages and the highest placement is about 3.5 lakh per year and everything is about 1.8 to 2 lakh per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My one year fee of b.com is 15950. And it is bit high. It should be around 10000-12000. And college premises also not provide any scholarships opportunities. Or external scholorship forms also they not verify. They show attitude for verifying documents.

Campus Life

Campus life is very enjoyfull and the there students are also very friendly. You see the students from almost every state. Or the college libary is also very bufferable. You got easily your college books in library.

Likes

Affordability in terms of fee structure and degree they don't have huge amount of fee for any particular program.
Market value as its the oldest and known college of delhi university and their new buildings makes it value for money college.

Dislikes

college do not have proper hygiene in terms of classroom and campus

its highly reletive as they claim and mention in their course structure. they overall difficulty level the exam level are also moderate and if its about the areas for improvement they should focus key campus and library area its should be accessable to all

could get a bit crowded when both the shifts have classes

I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Shyam Lal College( Morning) Review

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

DU life is better than any other college life

It depends on the merit list and the entrance exam that is CUET. The merit list is declared on the DU website. I searched for it on the collegedunia website and other websites. Application fees for UR-500 Rs. and OTHER-250 Rs.
