Sports ,NCC campus life friends and teachers they are helps in over-all things like scholarship study notes books etc
Some teachers teaches in bilingual Hindi or English so students feels comfortable
Office team of my college also helps students for get any information or any documents consider to scholarship

Dislikes

Some teacher who are assisting anyone they are not teaching
Entry in college of any other person is sometimes possible
There is not an auditorium so students faced problem in every fest

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the BA program because its cut-off is low and this course is easy and it's good for UPSC preparation. I choose Shyam Lal college shahdara because My Delhi govt hostel kamla nehru hostel is nearby my college and it's free for sc obc and minorities. SLC college faculty is too good. Teachers' Nature is mind-blowing, they help with study, scholarship, and in any problem. They teach in bilingual Hindi or English so students are comfortable studying. Exams are not too easy or not too difficult it's moderate.

Internships Opportunities

There is internship opportunity available for 2nd and third-year student in their interest areas they also applied for govt internship and there is some task for students. Competition between every social club or college to college and in sports, NCC.

Placement Experience

Campus placement depends on merit and interview. But I have less information because my course placement is not available After graduation, I am preparing for UPSC CSE from dikshant coaching and also getting admission in MA history from Ignou.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fees are not too costly it's just 16000 per year. There are many scholarships for students for sc, st, and obc. They also applied for fee concession. Teachers help poor students to get a scholarship and sometimes they contribute to students.

Campus Life

In April month, there is an annual fest and celebrities also came but there is one problem that in SLC there is no auditorium. The library is good, books are more than enough. There are many clubs dance society eco club depending on the interest area of students but I am not part of any club or group.

Admission

It depends on the merit list and the entrance exam that is CUET. The merit list is declared on the DU website. I searched for it on the collegedunia website and other websites. Application fees for UR-500 Rs. and OTHER-250 Rs. There is a good process of admission but sometimes it frustrated students because some students are not from Delhi they are coming from outside like MP, RJ, UP, etc. they are chasing some problems like residency, food, etc.

I really liked the environment of the college as there was a diverse set of students coming from across the country.
The faculty was top notch and was very dedicated and knowledgeable. If we faced any issue they would come up to help us deal with it.
Also i liked the infrastructure of the college as they recently added a new building and have improved a lot in sports equipments and facilities.

Dislikes

The admin section of the college is very slow and it is a hassle to deal with them. Half a time they are either on a break or on lunch.
There is sometimes non availability of chairs in classrooms like there are approx 40 chairs in each classroom but if the strength of the class is more then we have to borrow it from the next classroom.
Also you will have to take up some additional course which sometimes feel unnecessary but its not only in this particular college but in all the colleges under University of Delhi.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Likes

I liked the environment and the crowd of the college, and also my professors. Like seriously they are so helpful and kind
Also what I like about this college is that it's liberal unlike other colleges of North campus
I love the ashoka lawn and the big ground in front of the gym

Dislikes

I hate the staff, especially the technical staff ( Ankita Jain ), I went to her with erp portal issue and she just didn't look after my issue properly and sent me away. It was totally unexpected. She must be removed from her position.
The canteen staff, I didn't like their behaviour
Some of the seniors are shit and not helpful

I would rate it 9 out of 10. The reason is simple, whatever my professors teach and everything that is there in my syllabus is really helpful for my future. Not just that, they way lectures are delivered by the professors is just awesome

An idiot's guide around college

environment of my college is far better than all the other colleges I have been to, there is zero to none chances of there ever being something unsafe on campus
maintenance of my college is taken very seriously, in only my 1st month of attending college ii saw precautions being taken due to heavy flooding in the college campus
accessibility is one of the things in my college that is so serious and provided with such care that it feels weird when outside campus no such accessibility is not to be seen

there is little to no room for giving students relaxibility in situations of difficulty during talks of giving a leave or not

philosophy as va discipline covers mostlt all the subjects related to humanities, it'll widen your knowledge and you thinking abillity more than that of a oridinary student, the job market is quite difficult for this course

It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

I chose BBA ( general) with this course bcz shyamlal college is very famous as I think and the faculty staff is best for student, and one of the main thing for student is travelling system.... This college is very near of Welcome metro station so we can travel with metro to avoid disturbance...
