Remarks

The admission is based on jee main mark 25% and board mark 75% they add them and put a ranking and call the students There is 2 different council that is above mentioned and the pure board one which is 100% board marks. Counselling is held in All categories then TN is held then the local have a separate seat so 3 rounds for jee then 3 for the board only. For me, it was held offline on the campus. The minimum mark for the first category is jee Mani qualified then 400 above enough but for cs, you need more and to appear you need 60% or more in phy, mat, che.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The exam was well timed and many off were given but the main exam was very hard compared to other colleges one can say it is good for the good student but not for all. I have practically pushed into cs anyway but I'm fine with it. The faculty is all fine not so bad or good but some are too bad but if we complain they can change so it is fine. The ratio is 10:1 almond with some extra so it is great.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There is mainly 2 internship offer for cs students software, data science offered by many mnc like Fidelity, Walmart, etc and there is a big opp to get the job as well. The project we have 2 one in 6 sem that is Computer network based one and in 7 sem full project.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement starts for the 3 years first sem the college starts preparing students and the company arrive from the second sem. Thus college is good in this section as more than 3000+ offers for 2500+ personal is great as many get multiple offers. But arrears are a no go for placement and need at least 7 cgpa to enter. Even so in the end, there is MNC to take care of you so can say with no standing arrears 100%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The engineering in sastra is one of the most affordable in the market because the other colleges cost too much the starting we have to pay 80k that is for book and other stuff the next sem is 65k the there is a 5% hike every year so total the overall cost of 5.3L for engineering arts is quite low at 15k per sem. They provide aid for girls, the disabled, etc even for getting good marks and attention they have some cut in price.

Campus Life

2

sastra don't conduct many fests like many colleges as they don't collect many fees. But have some fest like around 3 including sports day so not much. The campus is great but nothing, when we come outside, have to go around 20km to go to the city. No bike rents are available as per my knowledge. The clubs are nice but nothing fancy just the usual ones like all colleges.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Their hostel is the worst the food is the worst part of it the room is decent but good and non veg is not allowed inside the hostel so the hostel is a no go for me. The PG nearby is fine and good I stay there the food is also great so I'm saved. The college canteen is quite good compared to the mess I think is done that way to take money.

It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
