Remarks

I took the state government's entrance exam called CET, I got enough ranking to get into this college. The CET syllabus is not that tough, one can crack it easily but non-Karnataka students are not eligible for this entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum for mechanical engineering is outdated like every other institutions. But they have made the syllabus shorter when compared state government's syllabus from VTU. The college has all the required lab machines and computer software to practice. Even they have German language subject in the final year. The faculties are sweet and they would help anytime.

Class Size: 22Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees have to be paid every year, since I came from the CET entrance exam, my fees are around 1 lakh per year. This is very less when compared to non- entrance students. For Karnataka students, we get around 20k per year as a scholarship if one is from General caste and if the student is SC/ST, will get around 40 to 50k as scholarship and fees are half of the general category student.

Campus Life

The campus is very huge & greenery everywhere. The campus is located in the heart of Mysore, just a kilometer away from major malls, theatres, restaurants. They have all the sports courts and equipment. They are the number of social groups/clubs to join as well.

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.
