Remarks

The admission in this college is either through your jee mains score and rank or through class 12th percentage. Eligibility criteria is very minimum. Physics-50, Maths-45 and Chemistry-50 respectively. The application form will be available on cuchd.in (Chandigarh University official website). The application fee is Rs 1000/-

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is very unique from other colleges. The syllabus is directly based on your field from the very beginning and the subjects are industry oriented. Faculty members are also great and well qualified. Teacher: Student ratio is 1:35. Teaching methodology is great and every lecture hall has projector for enhanced teaching.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship in college is based on industrial courses and projects. Companies which offer internship are Microsoft, Infosys and Inmovidu. Stipend you will get based on your skills. Internship and trainings occur every summer and winter. Ooutcomes of these projects are for better job opportunities.

Placement Experience

4.5

From end of 6th semester, students are eligible for placement. Companies that visit campus are TCS, Tech-Mahindra, Amazon, Microsoft, Flipkart, Infosys, Google, Finastra and several other renowned companies. Highest package is 38LPA and average package is 10LPA and minimum package offered was 3.5LPA. Percentage students who got placed are almost 90 percent. My plans after getting degree is to get placed or pursue higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of my course is presently 90000 per semester. When I got admission in here it was 80000. But, the fees structure totally depend on you because the more % of scholarship you get, the less will be semester fees. The scholarship will be available at the time of admission. The more percentage you have in 12th more scholarships you get. The scholarship is also determined on the basis of JEE rank. But if neither of them before is up to the mark, you will have to give a scholarship CUCET exam and based on that score you will get a scholarship. But, it is important to maintain 7.5CGPA and 75% attendance every year in order to continue your gained scholarship

Campus Life

5

Campus life in CU is the best part. The campus is like a mini town developed for you guys. It has a food court, fruit juice counter, snacks counter and dominos. It has several bank ATMs like SBI, J&K, PNB, HDFC, etc. The library is available in almost every academic block. There is a huge sports complex and if you are a sports person, this is really your college. NCC enrollment is also available. Club activities are a mandatory part of campus. You must join a minimum of 1 club like photography, fine arts, dance, music, soft skills, painting and sports club.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel accommodation is available in 5 seaters, 4 seaters and 3 seaters. Mess serves food 4 times a day and food quality is very good. The hostel can be applied at the time of admission or through Cuims student's portal. Hostel fees for 5 seaters are Rs 80000/-, 4 seater-Rs 90000/- and 3 seater- Rs 98500/-. If you are not interested in a hostel, you may stay in pg which is within 2-3 km from campus. If you want to rent cheap flats, it is available in a place called Kharar which is 6km from CU.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
