Remarks

I am pursuing B.COM.(H) from Satyawati college and right now in my second year. For taking admission to B.COM.(H) in any college, you need to have mathematics in 11th and 12th. It may not be included in the BEST FOUR, but you should have studied mathematics in 11th and 12th. The admission process was completely online because of COVID-19. The admission process was as smooth as it does not cause me any problem in taking admission and the cancellation process also went smoothly. All the helpline numbers were available by the college if any student faces any problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose B.COM.(H) because I was interested in finance and accounting, and as B.COM.(H) includes subjects such as Financial planning, Cost accounting, and many more related to accounts and finance, so I believe it was the best option for me. The faculty in Satyawati college is well qualified and very cooperative in listening to all your problems and solving your doubts in online mode as well. The internal marks are given according to the assignments or class tests that are taken by the respective teacher.

Internships Opportunities

5

There have been an ample amount of internship opportunities available for all the students. On average, every week almost 10 internship opportunities are offered by the E-Cell of the college. These opportunities are available for all the students of different courses and different years and are available for various profiles, ranging from sales and marketing to accounts and finance. Some companies which visit the campus for Internship opportunities are Bajaj Capital, Emo Matrix, Gillette Gaurd, Mr. Moustache's Cakes, IFORTIS, Business Quant, and many more big companies and start-ups. Till now, I have done 2 Internships in the profile of finance and accounting, and my experience has been wonderful.

Placement Experience

5

The placements offered by the college are good. There are no specific criteria, for which semester, students will become eligible for the campus placements, it all depends upon the eligibility that the company puts forward. There have been companies that come to Satywati college that are open for all courses and all years. The highest package to date is 32 LPA and the lowest package offered by the college is 3-4 LPA. Some companies which have visited Satyawati college for placement drives and selected some students from the campus are EY, DE Shaw, BYJU's, Wipro, Whitehat Jr., Zomato, and many more. The majority of the students selected in these companies are from B.COM.(H)/ECO.(H). The students are selected in these companies from the campus, and, are obviously less in number because of the competitive crowd and fewer seats in the company. But if you are 100% confident that you possess the skill set that the company requires, then you will surely be selected.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for B.COM.(H) is approximately 6000-6500/year which makes it approximately 20000 for the whole course (for 3 years). In my opinion, the fees as compared to the opportunities that are provided by the college in the form of internships (both paid and unpaid) and placements are really good. Coming to the scholarships offered by the college, I think that Satyawati college accepts more or less all the government scholarships, so you can look for them and apply them on time.

Campus Life

5

I have not experienced offline college life, but coming to the online experience, till now my experience has been good. Almost all the societies are pretty active in Satyawati college, but if I have to name some of the societies which I know pretty well are SAKSHAM (The placement cell of the college), Enactus, NSS, Abhivyakti, and many more. These societies are really active and post a number of opportunities for the students to learn. They also host several seminars that are related to what options do UG students have for their future. Overall all the societies are pretty good and focus on the development of the individual. The library of the college is also pretty huge and good, all the books related to all the subjects are available for the students, to issue and make full use of them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.
