Remarks
There is no specified limit of marks or eligibility criteria for addmission however great scholarship is provided based on either high scores in boards or Jee Mains/Advance. All the information regarding the application form,fees or important dates will be provided to you by the university once you contact them either by calling them or emailing them. You can get the email ids and phone numbers of concerned authorities on the official Chandigarh University Website. There is upto 50% fee off if you've got =>90% in 12th board exams. The admission process is also very easy and you needn't worry about anything as everything will be done with their guidance at every step.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in computer science since my childhood so I opted for the CSE branch. The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. There are highly qualified faculties in Chandigarh University however if it's your first year, you might get some young although knowledgeable teachers. There are in total 3 examinations held per semester i.e MST-1, MST-2, and Finals. MST is a monthly test. The difficulty level in both MSTs and finals is moderate to hard but if you study the teacher's notes, you will surely score well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per semester is 80000 with 2k extra as examination fees. Scholarships are provided if u get more than 75% in board exams. I am currently in my third year and many companies have already started to come for placements like Goldman Sachs, High Radius, Rtcamp, Juspay.
Campus Life
There are many fests held throughout the session. Many big stars are invited to the functions. There are more than 3 libraries throughout the campus and they are very peaceful and spacious. You will get every genre of books here. Classrooms are spacious with a projector fitted to help with some ppts or videos. An uplifted platform is there for teachers to teach. Various types of sports are played in the university like basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc. Many clubs are also there like the dancing club, singing club, modeling, etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are four types of hostel rooms that is five seaters, four-seaters, three-seaters, and single-seaters. Cost of the hostel increases as we go from five-seater to single-seater. Five-seater students pay around 75 thousand for a year of hostel room while 4 seater room is charged 90 thousand per year. The single seater is very costly as it rates upto 1.2 lacs per year. PGs are also available outside if you don't want to stay in a hostel.
